I work two years at the childcare center in the YMCA with newborns all the way to sixth grade. I played sports since I was a kid and I played college basketball for two years. Hello my name is Victoria!:) I am 27 years old married and currently have 3 kiddos expecting our 4th here in April:) I am currently a corrections officer. I’m looking to start my own little daycare before my little one comes so that I can fulfill my dream of becoming a stay at home mommy. Being a corrections officer I’ve missed out on so many family events and just time with my kiddos I wish I could take back:/ so I said enough is enough. I’ve wanted to run my own daycare for so long. I’ve babysat since I was young, nannied. You name it. Because if the academy I am CPR and AED certified as well as handgun and rifle trained not that that may matter to a lot of you but hey you never know. I’m also combat and hostage negotiation trained as well. Again, not that may matter but hey it’s a little about me and my background :) I grew up in a military household my father was a doctor in the navy so structure and routine and professionalism has always been my strong suit. When I graduated high school I started going to school to become a nurse. I thought the medical field was for me but then I ventured towards elderly care for awhile and loved it. It was a rewarding job until it wasn’t :/ you’d grow so attached to your patients only to slowly watch them suffer each day. It soon became depressing for me. I student taught at arrowood elementary school in Saginaw and came to find that teaching, being with such vibrant different characterized kiddos was my calling. Young minds that were in need of molding with education and art, in some of my students cases needing a safe space nd a second home they could rely on. Becoming a corrections officer I thought would better my family and don’t get me wrong it does money wise. But now I’d just like to be home with my kiddos while they are still young.
