Location: South Loop, Chicago Child: 2-year-old toddler Hours Needed: ONLY when husband is traveling Mornings: 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM Evenings: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Please note: This role requires flexibility. My husband’s work travel can change quickly, so shifts may be communicated on short notice. You will always receive as much advance notice as possible, but candidates should be comfortable with last-minute schedule updates. I need reliable, consistent help with the morning and evening routines on days my husband travels. These are high-stress windows (wake-up, breakfast, transitions, bath/bedtime), and I am looking for someone dependable, gentle, and highly experienced with toddlers. --- Responsibilities Morning (6–7 AM): Toddler wake-up and diapering Dressing for daycare Light breakfast preparation Helping transition smoothly out the door Evening (6–8 PM): Playtime/engagement Dinner assistance (heating up/prepared meals) Bath + pajama routine Bedtime wind-down (reading, quiet activities) No heavy cleaning. No deep housework. Just toddler-centered care and light support. --- Ideal Candidate Warm, patient, and confident with toddlers Highly reliable (this is essential) Comfortable stepping into structured routines Punctual for early morning arrivals Open to occasional weekend shifts (optional) Someone who communicates well and respects boundaries --- Requirements Minimum 2–3 years childcare experience Excellent references Authorized to work in the U.S. Non-smoker Comfortable with a shoe-free home Must be consistently available during travel weeks (notice provided in advance) --- Compensation Competitive hourly rate based on experience Guaranteed minimum for each shift (even if the routine finishes early)Babysitting job details
