About this babysitting job
We’re looking for a caring, fun, and responsible babysitter to help with our children’s evening routine, with the hope that a great fit could become part of our occasional babysitter rotation in the future. Most of the time, you’ll be caring for our 7-year-old, helping with wind-down activities and bedtime, while our 12-year-old works independently on homework (he may occasionally need a friendly reminder to start getting ready for bed). Evenings can be a bit lively: our son will be at choir for part of the time and a friend will drop him home, and our daughter’s piano teacher will come to the house for a half-hour lesson, so comfort with a slightly busy household and the ability to stay calm, organized, and upbeat during transitions is appreciated. We value sitters who are warm, engaged with kids (reading, chatting, light play), punctual, communicative, and attentive while on duty, limiting phone use to essential communication only.
