Hi! We are looking for a caring and reliable nanny to help with our baby girl once or twice per week while I return to work part-time. Schedule: Likely Thursdays and/or Fridays from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, starting in April. The exact day may vary slightly at first, but we will communicate schedules in advance. Location: Our home in Logan Square (Chicago). Plenty of street parking available. About the baby: She will be around 6 months old when the position starts. Responsibilities include: Following her wake windows and nap routine (she currently prefers contact naps, but we are working toward at least one crib nap per day) Age-appropriate play and developmental activities Assisting with physical therapy-style exercises (rolling, sitting support, motor skills) Bottle feeding and eventually helping with solids when we begin introducing them Light baby-related tidying (washing bottles, putting toys away, cleaning things up, baby laundry, etc.) Home environment: We do have one pet in the home, but she is a nervous dog and will usually be going to work with me during the day, so the nanny’s attention will be focused entirely on the baby. We are looking for someone who: - Has professional childcare experience with infants - Has infant sleep experience (a plus). We follow a gentle / no-cry sleep approach - Is CPR certified (a plus) - Is fully vaccinated - Is non-smoking and does not smell of smoke - Is warm, patient, and comfortable following our baby’s routine We would love to do a paid working interview beforehand so you can meet our baby and we can go over her routine together.
