About this babysitting job

Hi! I’m a working mom traveling to Detroit for a work trip (Mon Apr 6 – Thu Apr 9) and I’m looking for a high-energy, enthusiastic sitter to spend the day with my two school-age kids while I’m in meetings. I’m not just looking for someone to watch them — I want someone who genuinely wants to give them a memorable, fun experience exploring Detroit! If you love going on adventures and get excited about finding cool things to do with kids, you’re exactly who I’m looking for. What the days look like: 8 AM to 4:30 or 5 PM. We’re staying at a hotel in Detroit — you’d meet us there each morning. Planned outings (your choice or theirs!): ∙ Michigan Science Center (Mi-Sci) — hands-on STEM exhibits ∙ Detroit Riverfront or other fun spots you recommend! Food: Flexible — I’ll either stock the hotel room with snacks and sandwich supplies, or you’re welcome to take them somewhere casual and I’ll reimburse you. Just keep receipts! I’m looking for someone who: ∙ Has a positive attitude and high energy ∙ Loves making kids feel like the day was an actual adventure ∙ Is comfortable driving or using rideshare to get around (costs covered) ∙ Is reliable and communicative — I’ll always be reachable by text ∙ Has a background check on file Please message me with your experience, your availability for Mon–Thu daytime hours, and tell me something fun you’d want to do with them! Here for a few days so open to help on Wednesday and Thursday as well if things go well.
