We are looking for a caring, dependable, and attentive babysitter to help care for our 22-month-old child from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with toddlers, is patient and energetic, and can provide a safe, engaging environment during the day. About the position The child’s mother will be home during the shift but is recovering from a knee injury and is currently unable to actively keep up with a toddler’s daily needs and movement. We are seeking someone who can take the lead on childcare during these hours. Responsibilities Provide attentive care and supervision for a 22-month-old toddler Engage the child in age-appropriate play, reading, and activities Serve snacks and/or lunch as directed by parent Change diapers and assist with toddler hygiene as needed Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment Follow the child’s daily routine and parent instructions Put toys away and help tidy play areas Place used dishes in the dishwasher Monitor nap time and remain available while the child sleeps Schedule Hours: 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Nap time: approximately 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM During nap time, the sitter will be expected to do light cleanup tasks such as picking up toys and putting dishes in the dishwasher. Once those tasks are completed, the sitter may take a 30-minute break while remaining on site and available if needed. Qualifications Experience caring for infants or toddlers Patient, reliable, and attentive Comfortable following a parent-led routine while parent is in the home CPR/First Aid certification preferred Non-smoker preferred Strong references preferred Ideal candidate We are looking for someone warm, responsible, and proactive who can keep up with an active toddler and provide support to a parent recovering at home.Babysitting job details
