**Nanny Needed for Two Children – Birmingham** We are seeking a caring, reliable, and experienced nanny to provide after-school care for our two sweet, playful, and kind boys in Birmingham. About Our Family We are a conservative Christian family looking for someone who will become a positive and engaged presence in our children's lives. We value compassion, patience, consistency, and a genuine love for working with children. ### Qualifications We prefer a nanny who: * Has a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license (no need to drive kids) just to ensure you have transport to work. * Is a non-smoker * Is comfortable around pets (we have one beagle mix dog) * Is CPR certified * Has prior childcare experience * Is energetic, hands-on, and enjoys actively engaging with children * Is dependable, professional, and committed to providing attentive care We are looking for someone who will play with the children, encourage active play, and be fully present during their time together. We prefer minimal personal phone use while caring for the children. ### Schedule **Monday–Thursday** **2:00 PM – 8:00 PM** The children arrive home from school at approximately **4:00 PM**. Parents handle all school transportation. ### Responsibilities **2:00 PM – 4:00 PM** * Prepare a healthy dinner for the children * Light organization and tidying before the children arrive **4:00 PM – 8:00 PM** * Engage in active play and age-appropriate activities * Serve dinner * Assist with bath time * Read with the children and help with bedtime routine * Encourage good manners and positive behavior ### Light Household Duties (Children-Related Only) * Prepare meals for the children (adults will handle their own meals) * Put away toys and maintain play areas * Load the dishwasher * Keep the kitchen sink area tidy * Help children maintain clean and organized bedrooms * Clean up after meals and daily activities The mother may occasionally be home and available to assist with park visits or afternoon activities. We are looking for someone who will treat this role as more than just a job—someone who truly enjoys spending time with children and helping them learn, grow, and thrive.
