About this babysitting job

We’re a busy, energetic family in Chesterfield with three kids: a 7‑year‑old son, a 4‑year‑old daughter, and a very new baby boy (about 10 weeks old). We’re looking for someone dependable, upbeat, and confident with infants who can start as a mother’s helper and hopefully become a familiar, go‑to sitter for our family. One parent has a variable on‑call schedule, and the other occasionally travels for work, so having someone we trust for different types of help would make a huge difference. We’d love to build a long‑term relationship with someone who enjoys getting to know a family and growing into the role. For the first visit, the focus will be: -Acting as a mother’s helper while one of us is home to help with our infant (holding, soothing, bottles, basic care) -Getting to know our older two in a relaxed, low‑pressure way -Supporting light kid‑related tasks while we catch up on projects or errands A little about our older kids: Our 7‑year‑old son loves sports (especially baseball), building Legos, Pokémon cards, chess, puzzles, crafting, writing, and Minecraft. He’s thoughtful, creative, and loves showing people what he’s working on. Our 4‑year‑old daughter is full of imagination — she loves dancing, Barbies, puzzles, singing, jewelry, crafting, and playing outside. She warms up quickly and loves having someone join in her world. We also have a 10‑year‑old Shiba Inu/American Eskimo mix. She’s friendly, well‑behaved, and low‑maintenance. She doesn’t need care from you — just someone comfortable having a calm dog around. For future visits, the role may shift depending on the day: -Continued mother’s‑helper support for either parent -Occasional solo care with all three kids once everyone feels comfortable -Evening or weekend help when one parent is on call or traveling -Date‑night babysitting as trust builds We’re looking for someone who communicates well, shows good judgment, and is comfortable stepping into a home with multiple kids once everyone is familiar.
