Hi! I’m looking for a responsible, energetic babysitter to help with a full day of childcare for my four kids, ages 5, 7, 7, and 9. I’ll be home during the day, but I’ll be in my home office and unavailable because I’ll be in a mediation meeting that may last part or all of the day. So I’m looking for someone who is comfortable taking charge, keeping the kids engaged, and managing the day independently while I’m nearby but not really available to help. The main plan would be to hang out with the kids, keep things positive and fun, help with snacks/lunch as needed, and ideally take them out to a nearby park so they can get fresh air and burn off energy. You’re welcome to use our family vehicle if that makes getting to the park easier. The kids are sweet, funny, active, and love attention. They enjoy books, games, playing outside, sports, pretend play, Pokémon/Minecraft, arts and crafts, animals, dinosaurs, sea creatures, and generally being silly. A sitter who can bring a calm, patient, playful energy would be a great fit. Because there are four of them, I’m looking for someone who is confident managing multiple kids at once and can be warm but firm when needed. Like most kids, they can occasionally need help with emotional regulation, so patience and clear boundaries are important. This should be a pretty straightforward and enjoyable day for someone who likes kids, can keep them busy, and is comfortable taking the lead. We also have a large English bulldog. He is friendly, but you should be comfortable being around a big dog.
