About this babysitting job

Hello! We are looking for multiple sitters to work with our 2 children, ages 3 and 6, during our time vacationing in West Warwick, Rhode Island this week. We are staying in an AirBnB house. We are a family from Los Angeles. Mom is a teacher. Dad is a psychologist. Our children are very used to babysitters and day care, but they are a bit cranky and jet lagged at the moment. They also don’t know Rhode Island well. Dad is from Warwick, and we’ve visited before, but the kids are disoriented by the new rental and the time change. Please be willing to be patient with some tantrums. Our daughter is 3 years old and very active and friendly. She is potty trained but. may need reminders to try to go hourly. She will need help washing her hands in the rental sinks, even with a stepstool. Our son is 6 years old, mildly neurodiverse, and quirky. He loves maps, numbers, counting, and Sesame Street. He prefers quiet to noise and may ask to spend time alone in his room a lot. The job will include playing with kids indoors and outdoors, taking them for walks, making them snacks and lunches in our AirBnB kitchen, watching TV, playing soccer outside, etc. Our kids are healthy and have no food allergies. Our daughter has eczema and is sensitive to fragrance, perfume, makeup etc. We are in Rhode Island for a screening of an independent film that we helped work on. We need people to work these hours: 1. One evening Tuesday-Friday this week (your choice) for a meet-and-greet and interview (4h minimum pay) AND 2. All day Saturday, 10 AM - 6 PM (8 hrs) - day of the screening. We will be hiring THREE sitters for Saturday. One for each child and one as a backup. Please note: - We cannot hire anyone who is not an experienced babysitter. You must be comfortable working together with other people. - You must be available on both one day this week Tues-Fri for us to meet you and ALSO on Saturday for this to work. - The location of all babysitting is WEST Warwick. - Please have your driver’s license. We will leave a car with car seats for you. We prefer that you do not drive the kids around, but in the event of an emergency, we want the sitters to be able to drive. - Please be fully vaccinated — measles, TDAP, all childhood shots, Covid vaccine (at least one) etc. - Please be willing to provide at least one reference we can text. Two is better.
