About this babysitting job

**Location:** Indian Trail, NC (near Poplin Elementary / Porter Ridge schools) We are looking for a reliable, caring, and patient nanny/caregiver to provide part-time, as-needed care in our home for our 5-year-old son. **About the role:** • Part-time, as-needed position with a flexible and somewhat sporadic schedule • Hours generally fall between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday • Schedule varies, and not every day will be required • We will provide as much notice as possible when care is needed, and schedules will be agreed upon in advance • Hourly rate is negotiable **Responsibilities may include:** • Providing supervision, care, and engagement through play and activities • Supporting structured play (the RBT can explain more during the initial meeting/interview) • Preparing meals/snacks • Light childcare-related household tasks (tidying, dishes, laundry, etc.) • Occasional local outings (such as playground visits) • Rarely, if care is needed later in the afternoon, assisting with our 2-year-old daughter and/or helping prepare a meal **Requirements / preferences:** • Must be over 18 years old and legally able to work • Reliable transportation and clean driving record • CPR and First Aid certified • Previous childcare experience preferred (autism/developmental experience is a plus) • References appreciated • Patient, kind, dependable, and enjoys working with children • Able to provide invoices for services **About our son and home:** • My son is autistic and receives in-home ABA therapy. His RBT will be present during therapy sessions and at the initial meeting. • Occasionally, the RBT's supervisor (BCBA) may also be at the house. They are there to support the RBT and oversee my son's therapy, so it will not impact your role. • You would not be responsible for discipline, behavioral therapy, or interventions. Those are managed by his ABA team (RBT and BCBA). • Your role would focus on supervision, play, activities, and general care support. • We are a strictly no-shoes household for hygiene reasons (shoe covers available if needed). • Indoor cameras are located only in common areas for security and ABA support (never bathrooms or bedrooms).
