About this babysitting job

We are seeking reliable, energetic, and proactive caregivers to help support our two children (ages 3 and 5) near the Nelson Elementary area. We generally need coverage for occasional date nights (typically around 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM, with flexible scheduling) as well as occasional daytime support when needed from days off school (around 8:30 AM/9:00 AM – 4:00 PM). Our home is a warm, high-standard, and strictly screen-free environment. Our children thrive on child-led, free-flow play, arts and crafts, backyard swing time, and active imagination. We are looking for engaged sitters who love to actively participate in games and activities. Key Responsibilities: Active Engagement: Genuinely joining in on kids' games, crafts, and outdoor play. Routine & Boundaries: Confidently managing boundaries around screen-free rules and snack/cookie requests, keeping kids on track with eating and napping schedules, and ensuring basic daily habits (like teeth brushing and completed routines) stay on track. Tidy Habits: Cleaning up as you go, encouraging the kids to pitch in between activities, and maintaining a tidy space once the fun is finished. Safety: Comfort with supervising outdoor play and monitoring pool time (either inside or actively supervising from the pool patio; kids are strong swimmers). No driving required. We love clear, proactive communication and are deeply collaborative in welcoming new sitters into our family flow. CPR/First aid certification is preferred but not required.
