Part-Time Morning Family Helper / House Manager We’re a Bucktown family seeking a warm, reliable, organized, and proactive helper to keep weekday mornings running smoothly. Primarily the role entails helping get our 3 kids (5, 2, and 6 months) ready for school/daycare, supporting with drop offs (walking distance) and then transitioning to household/house manager work. Schedule Monday–Friday, 7:00–10:00 a.m. Additional hours may be available for the right candidate. A bit flexible on the end time day to day. Responsibilities • Help our three young children (ages 5, 2, and 6 months) get dressed, eat breakfast, and prepare for daycare and kindergarten • Fill water bottles, prep baby bottles, general help getting kids ready and out the door • Walk at least one or two children to school each morning—all drop-offs are within walking distance. Some days may entail dropping off all 3 After the children are at school, you’ll focus on: • Children’s laundry • Loading and unloading the dishwasher, tidying kitchen • Tidying the main living areas and putting away toys • Resetting the home after the morning rush • Light housekeeping, organization, and other family-assistant tasks as needed • Breaking down boxes, taking out trash and recycling • Ad hoc tasks as they arise (unboxing amazon or diaper shipments, watering plants, taking toys to basement, putting away Instacart orders... etc.) We’d also love to learn about your experience supporting other families. Timing & Commitment Start date around the week of August 24, with some flexibility. We’re ideally looking for a one- to two-year commitment, with a minimum commitment of six months. About You You’re dependable, organized, proactive, and comfortable with young children. You bring a calm, helpful presence to busy mornings and take initiative where needed. You have good communication. We've had an amazing helper in the mornings for the past 3 months but she was only available for the summer. Excited to find someone to help longer term! Compensation Guaranteed weekly hours, happy to chat through paid time off / sick time as well
