About this babysitting job

My wife and I are new parents looking for an experienced caregiver to help with our 2-month-old son in our home in Redwood City. My wife is a stay-at-home mom and will usually be home, so we're mainly looking for someone who can give her an extra set of hands during the day and let her take a break, rest, exercise, run an errand, or get other things done. We're hoping to find someone we really like who can come back occasionally rather than having a different caregiver each time. Our son is healthy, generally happy and easy-going, with no medical needs, allergies, or medications. He is formula-fed and usually eats every 2–3 hours, sometimes taking a break in the middle of a feeding. The biggest thing we're looking for is someone who is genuinely comfortable and experienced with young infants. Typical care would include feeding, burping, diaper changes, holding and soothing him, helping him settle for naps, tummy time and play, and possibly taking him for stroller walks. We're still learning what works best when he gets fussy or has trouble falling back asleep, so someone with a lot of hands-on infant experience would be especially helpful. We're generally looking for daytime help, approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but we're flexible on the exact hours and could also do shorter days. My wife's first language is Thai, so a Thai-speaking caregiver would be a great bonus, although it isn't required. We don't have pets, and ours is a non-smoking, drug-free home. My wife is also a great cook and would be happy to provide lunch. We're mainly looking for someone warm, reliable, calm with babies, and comfortable working alongside a parent who will often be home.
