About this babysitting job
Our curious six-year-old is incredibly outgoing, friendly, and helpful, though, he has been known to negotiate everything from which shoes he wears to bedtime. Our three-year-old is a pretty easy toddler and accompanies us wherever we go (almost always smiling)! We are looking for someone who maintains patience in all interactions, but is firm on upholding schedules. We also hope to find someone who is genuinely kind, caring, and is willing to gently remind our munchkins the importance of using good manners and kind interactions with others. On this occasion, our kiddos are actually staying with my parents in Los Gatos while my husband and I are out of town, and my parents will be at an event in San Jose. We are looking for someone to hang out with the kiddos before, during and after dinner, leading up to bedtime, and while they are sleeping while my parents are at their event. Responsibilities will include feeding the kids, playtime (no tv please!), bath-time, story time, putting on pjs, flossing and brushing teeth, and bedtime by 7:30pm. Both our six-year-old and our three-year-old are fully potty trained. *PLEASE NOTE: MY HUSBAND AND I WILL NOT HAVE ANY CELL RECEPTION WHILE WE ARE OUT OF TOWN, BUT I WILL CONNECT YOU WITH MY PARENTS IN ADVANCE, SO THEY CAN COORDINATE WITH YOU DIRECTLY. THANK YOU! We also hope to find someone who is comfortable around dogs. My parents have two very friendly dogs; a gentle six-year-old Yellow Lab, and a playful two-year-old Golden Doodle.
