Nanny Responsibilities & House Guidelines 1. Childcare * The main responsibility is to take care of the toddler and make sure he feels **happy, safe, and comfortable**. * Please actively play with him, interact with him, read books, and engage him in age-appropriate activities. * Please supervise him closely and make sure he is safe at all times. * If he is upset or crying, please first try to **gently comfort and calm him down**. If you feel that something is wrong or you need my help, please feel free to come get me. 2. Phone Use * During working hours, please **do not use your phone while actively taking care of the child**. * The focus should be on the child and his safety and well-being. * You may use your phone during the child's nap time for personal matters. 3. Nap Time & Break * When the toddler is taking a nap, you are welcome to **take a break, eat lunch, or rest**. * Lunch will usually be provided from **Trader Joe's**. * You can simply heat the food in the microwave. * **Please do not use the stove or cook with oil**, as we try to avoid creating smoke or strong cooking odors in the home. 4. Working From Home * I work remotely from another room in the house during the day. * While I am working, please try to handle the child's normal needs independently so that I can stay focused on work. * If you have a question, need something, or there is anything you are unsure about, please feel free to **knock on my door and ask me**. * If the child is simply crying or having a normal toddler moment, please try to comfort him first rather than immediately coming to get me. 5. Going Outside * If you would like to take the toddler outside for a walk, to the playground, or for another activity, please let me know. * If going outside is needed, **we can also go together** when appropriate. 6. Home Monitoring * There are **security cameras in the childcare areas/rooms** of the home for safety and monitoring purposes. * The cameras are there to help ensure the child's safety and allow me to check in when needed. Overall The most important thing is for the toddler to be **safe, happy, and well cared for**. We appreciate someone who is patient, attentive, warm, and willing to actively engage with him throughout the day.Babysitting job details
