I take on a positive and nurturing approach to childcare. Instead of emphasizing the negative side or outcome of an unwanted behavior, I focus on redirecting each child towards healthy alternative activities, tasks, or desirable behaviors. By refraining from saying, "No", I strive to put more attention on a desired behavior. I am very patient and I absolutely love learning. With that I would say that patience plays a major role when both learning and caring for children. I absolutely aspire for children to feel safe, heard, and loved in result making myself available to all their emotional, physical and mental needs to the best of my expertise. I aim for the child to maintain their ability to think in a clear manner and create good decisions. As for regulating children's emotions, I guide them to slow down and respond to situations in a calm manner. Providing care for children since 2013 has been my specialty and it comes second nature to me. I look forward to meeting you!

Hi, moms and dads! I'm Suverce. I’ve been working with children for over 10 years as an au pair, a nanny, a tutor, and an occasional sitter, and I genuinely love what I do. I was an aupair for two years. I used us take care of 2 lovely kids. Luca is 3 yo, and Milly is 11 mo. I like having my time with kids. I`m energetic, creative, fun, and at the same time, a responsible and kind person. I have an easy connection with kids that they like spending their time with me! I would like to tell you about my one day as an Aupair: I take kids in the morning and help them eat their breakfast. I prepare their food, and I feed Milly. I help Luca to get changed. I drive to his school. After I leave Luca at his school, I take Milly to the Gymboree. After a couple of hours, I drive back to Luca`s school to pick him up. I read them books, and we do art projects with Luca. I help him use the potty. We play together, and if the weather is good, we go outside to take a walk. We also go to the zoo, playground, museums.. I help Milly eat her food, cook baby food for her, sing to her, and read books all the time. I change her diaper and do her routines every day. We sometimes go grocery shopping together. Luca loves it! In my second year as an au pair, I took care of Madeleine who is 6yo. We had so much fun.I love to go to the Oakland zoo, Lawrence science museum, Chabot space museum, SF pier 39, some playgrounds, especially SF Dolores park and Piedmont dracena park which are suitable for climbing and riding a bike. Emerville pump it up, Oakland sharks ice skating and Alameda ceramic painting place are good opportunity for rainy days. Before I was an au pair, I worked in the kindergarten as a volunteer for almost a year. I played with them and did lots of art-crafts. I helped them eat their lunches and brush their teeth. I taught them colors, numbers, arts and crafts, etc. (About me: I graduated with a degree in chemical engineering and completed a master's in engineering management at CSU East Bay. I am currently employed as a project manager for a construction contractor.)

I also have experience taking care of my nephews and cousins as well. My rate is $25 to $35 per hour and I might be available on some weekends, too for babysitting. I am first aid/CPR certified, I also have a child development teacher permit as well as a bachelor's degree of Human Development with an Early Childhood Development option from Cal State University East Bay. I love working with children because they are fun to play with and be around. Thank you and looking forward to meeting you and your children.

Hi, my name is Wendy! 👋🏼 ☺️ I have an Associate’s Degree of Arts: Social and Behavioral Sciences and I recently got my Bachelor’s in Psychology. Im starting a Grad School Program fall 2026 for a LMFT at USF. My academic goal is to be a kids therapist because I truly love working with kids and that is the reason why I like babysitting since I get an opportunity to work with them. I am the eldest daughter of 4 siblings who are all boys and that I cared for since they were born until they grow up older. So the reason why I am very patient and kind with babies, toddlers and children of any ages is because I got the experience from taking care of my little brothers. But since 2020 I have been a nanny for 5 different families for about 1 or 2 years with each long term family. I can surely provide phone numbers for recommendation as well! One thing about me is that I love talking to babies even though they can’t answer back ha! I like taking toddlers and babies on walks, to closest library or just to explore any part of your place! I also enjoy teaching them the numbers, colors and singing appropriate age songs with them as well! I also love reading books with them. And lastly with children of 6-10+ years old I like to play table games or even painting as well. I am also a Spanish and English Tutor at Grade Potential Tutoring and Tutor Hero - so if you would like me to teach/practice with your children Spanish or English that’s something I am willing to work with them too :)

$20 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Asiah, and I’m a proud graduate of Cal State East Bay with a degree in Sociology. My passion for working with children stems from being a big sister to five siblings — helping them grow and being someone they looked up to made me realize how much I love caring for and guiding young minds. Over the years, I’ve built hands-on experience in various child-centered environments, including daycares, elementary schools, and recreation centers. Since 2017, I’ve worked with UrbanSitter, building lasting relationships with families who continue to request me. I’ve supported children through daily routines, including meal prep, school drop-offs and pick-ups, homework help, and enrichment activities. During the pandemic, I adapted to meet new challenges by supervising virtual learning, ensuring kids stayed on track academically while still having fun. Currently, I work in an after-school program with 6th to 8th graders, where I lead both an enrichment class focused on art projects and an active class that involves outdoor games and sports. Whether it’s helping with homework, planning creative activities, or just being a positive role model, I find real joy in being part of a child's growth. I look forward to meeting you and your family!

Hello Families, My name is Angela, and I am from Colombia. I have been caring for children for the past 18 years. I am CPR/First Aid certified and possess a California driver's license. I am current on all my vaccines. I am also a certified Postpartum Doula with over 13 years of experience. My philosophy is to support the baby, the mom, and the family in creating a balanced and loving environment. I am highly dedicated to my work and take it seriously. I enjoy activities such as engaging in art projects, visiting parks, museums, and zoos, going for walks, and baking with children. I appreciate parents who provide clear instructions for their children's routines, set boundaries, and communicate effectively. One preference I have is that children usually stay away from screens while with me, except on weekends, although I respect if parents prefer otherwise. Thank you! P.S.: I am finishing my program in late May and will be available after June 14th. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions!

Hello! My name is Amary, and I’m 38 years old. I’m the mother of two adorable boys and have 10 years of babysitting experience. During my time as a student in France, I worked as a babysitter, and when I moved to the US, I decided to continue in this field. I enjoy playing various games with the kids and am open to any activity that the parents prefer. Occasionally, I try to teach them French, which I speak fluently. I’m available for occasional babysitting jobs and only accept jobs that are at least 4 hours long. I’m comfortable with dogs, but I’m not comfortable with cats because I’ve been attacked by one in the past. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Best regards, Amary
