I started nannying after leaving my job as a TV producer when my son was born in 2004. Since then I've cared for numerous newborns, babies, and toddlers, including several sets of twins. The last few years I've had the joy of nannying my niece's twin boys who just turned 4. As preemies, they required specialized round-the-clock care that I was privileged to be part of. Hi! My name is Fern and I am a second year student at Chico State. I am from the Central Valley and I have many years of experience with kids ages 1 to 13. Throughout high school I was a nanny 3 days a week and also babysat for several other families when needed. This summer I worked at an overnight soccer camp ages ranging from around 8 to 17, averaging about 150 kids per week, giving me so much experience with child care and how to manage stressful situations that may occur. My strongest skill set is definitely patients. Throughout my experience with kids I have become very patient and learned that every child is very different so the best thing to do is to be patient and understanding with each one.
