With over 12 years of professional childcare experience, I have supported children from infancy through adolescence by creating safe, nurturing, and developmentally supportive environments. My approach blends structure, compassion, and intentional teaching, ensuring children feel secure, understood, and encouraged to grow. In addition to hands-on childcare, I serve as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating emotional regulation, patience, communication skills, and respect. I help children develop strong routines, social skills, independence, and confidence through age-appropriate activities and consistent guidance. My background as a bilingual teaching assistant, combined with training including 40-hour RBT coursework and CPR/First Aid, allows me to support children with varying needs, learning styles, and temperaments. I model kindness, empathy, responsibility, and problem-solving while maintaining clear expectations that promote healthy development. Overall, I provide a blend of gentle leadership, educational support, and emotional stability, helping children feel valued, capable, and inspired to be their best selves. I have also served as a household manager for 6 years. As part of my responsibilities I managed daily operations, overseeing household staff (cleaning services, contractors, maintenance workers), and signing relevant documents while keeping a copy for record documentation. In addition, handled grocery shopping and inventory; meal planning/preparation when needed based on preferences and specific requests. Furthermore, I kept household supplies inventory (cleaning, office, laundry, tools and equipment, paper and waste products, etc). Ensured to drop off & pick up packages; as well as the drop off and and pick up of dry clean clothes. Finally, I was responsible for scheduling car cleaning services, filling up the tank whenever needed and taking the vehicle to the dealership, or preferred service center for maintenance.

I have been caring for children for most of my life. As the second oldest of five siblings, responsibility came early to me. When I was just 10 years old, I began watching my three-year-old brother while my mother worked. From there, childcare became a natural and meaningful part of my life. As a teenager, I babysat two children every summer, beginning when they were 4 and 6 years old. Those years taught me consistency, patience, and how important it is to build trust with both children and parents. While in college, I worked as a live-in nanny for a family in Portland, Maine. The parents were opening a restaurant, so I provided full-time care for their 18-month-old daughter. My responsibilities included meal preparation, housekeeping, outings, and maintaining daily routines. When their second child was born, I cared for their six-month-old son alongside their almost four-year-old daughter. I remained with the family until the children were 4 and 7 years old. My role included cooking healthy meals, school pickups, park outings, bedtime routines, and occasionally morning routines. I believe children thrive when they are active and engaged, so I prioritized outdoor play whenever possible—trips to playgrounds, local parks for picnics, splash pads, petting zoos, and nature walks. On colder days, we visited the library, did arts and crafts projects, or attended local cafés with live music and child-friendly play areas. I aim to keep children curious, creative, and physically active while ensuring they feel safe and supported. Throughout college, I also volunteered at local shelters, watching children while parents needed to do what they needed to do while living in the shelter. Additionally, during the summers worked at a diabetes camp caring for kids aged 8-15 years old living with diabetes and enjoying two weeks away from home. Following college, I lived in Kerala, India where I taught English and political science to kids aged 3 to 14 years old. More recently, I babysat a 1½-year-old boy in Washington, DC, providing dependable evening care so his busy parents could enjoy occasional date nights. I am responsible, attentive, and deeply experienced with children of different ages. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy helping children grow, explore, and feel cared for. I am also CPR certified. I looked forward to meeting your little one(s) and supporting their growth and development.

I have more than 10 years of childcare experience. I’ve worked with children from infant years to school age years. I’m a mother of 2 beautiful girls (ages 6 and 7). I also have experience with special needs children. I’ve been an RBT since 2020 providing ABA therapy to children with autism spectrum. I completed my masters in special education from George Mason University in 2024. My passion for education and working with children with or without disabilities began as a child when I required the extra help from teachers as a special education student. Now this is my time to give back and help guide and teach children. I enjoy being outdoors, playing sports, playing pretend with Barbies or action figures, getting messy with art projects, or simply enjoying a relaxing moment watching a movie!

Hi - My name is Sara, and I’m currently a second-year master’s candidate in the Department of Environmental Health Science as part of Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. I enjoy babysitting and have grown up helping family and friends by caring for infants, toddlers, and kids since I was 16. My responsibilities have included changing diapers, warming bottles, making snacks, watching them while the parents are away, getting them ready for bed, walking them to their bus stops, storytelling, and even some arts and crafts! I worked with multiple clients as a self-employed private educator overseas for ~5 years. I taught a self-developed curriculum based on the experts’ approach to teaching English as a foreign language. I tutored English, Science, Mathematics, and History for students in international schools. (1st grade to 12th). As well as English reading and writing for students with learning difficulties such as Dyslexia. Additionally, I assisted in developing the curriculum for Happy Bees overseas before the grand opening and held a preschool and kindergarten teacher position. I volunteered at a nursing home throughout high school. I recently received a bachelor of science degree in community health, which has deepened my understanding of populations in every age group. As the years pass, I’ve been assisting my parents with more tasks and am very comfortable with senior care. I can do light cooking, help with organizing, or other responsibilities. (I also enjoy technology-free conversation zones and board games). I am a big fan of pets! I’ve had turtles, birds, and cats. I have five cats back home, one of which is the queen, who gave birth to three healthy kittens in my bed, refusing to do so anywhere else in the house. Of course, I was there for her every step of the way, soothing and feeding her calming treats. I am very familiar with their care and needs. While I’ve never had a dog, I’ve walked my friends’ and thoroughly enjoy their company. If needed, I am open to day/weekend-long babysitting, pet care, and housesitting.
