While my full name is Rita Isabel, I go by Isabel, and I am a single parent of a 13 y/o and aunt to a toddler and newborn. Becoming an aunt made me realize I actually enjoy spending time with children that aren't my own and I'm pretty good at it. Once upon a time I was a clinician but decided that public health is the field for me so being an urbansitter is a side gig that I enjoy and find fulfillment in. I am very responsible, detail oriented and enjoy games and crafts!
$20 per hour for 1 child
I am currently a senior over at GWU studying Entrepreneurship and Sociology. I'm a huge dog person and love cooking and baking. I've lived in DC for around three years now and so I am very comfortable navigating all around the city - there is always a new restaurant to try! I'm new to the app and excited to get started!
Hi everyone, my name is Daniah and I’m from Maryland. I’m a recent graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University with a bachelor’s of science in psychology and am currently in graduate school at George Washington University for my master’s in school counseling. I offer child care, senior care, and household services. I have years of experience working with children as a Sabbath School teacher, ABA therapist, and caregiver. I’ve supported kids from toddlers to teens, including children with autism, helping them with communication, daily routines, and social skills. I’m also CPR/First Aid certified. I’ve cared for seniors and vulnerable adults—helping with appointments, errands, medication, and daily support—and love being a steady, compassionate presence. I also assist with cooking, cleaning, and other household tasks. I’m dependable, empathetic, patient, and passionate about helping others feel safe, supported, and cared for. Let me know how I can help your family!
My name is Sofia! I am from the Dominican Republic but I am currently studying in the George Washington University here in DC! I am 19 years old and have had a lot of prior expirience caring for kids. I was a summer camp counselor for 3 years, working either kids from ages 2-12 as well as a babysitter here in DC my past freshman year of college! Additionally I have two nephews which I regularly take care of when I am back home. I consider myself very energetic and kind and some usually say I have a special way with kids. I really enjoy spending my time taking care of children as they are fun and creative. I am very loving and organized and have the ability to speak spanish and english. Lastly, I am CPR certified by the American Heart Association and am very responsible!
I’m the second oldest of 14 children, so caring for kids has been part of my life from the start. With over 10 years of professional experience in education, I’ve worked with children of all ages and developmental stages, from preschool to teens. I’m patient, creative, and attentive, and I enjoy engaging children in activities that are both fun and enriching whether it’s arts and crafts, reading, outdoor play, or hands-on learning projects. Safety, kindness, and respect are at the heart of my caregiving approach, and I pride myself on building trusting relationships with both children and families.
Hi! I’m an Atlanta native with lots of experience caring for kids and pets. I’ve babysat for teachers, my nephew, and other families, and I recently worked as a teaching fellow for middle school students. I love getting to know kids, helping them learn, and keeping them engaged. I’ve also worked as a summer camp counselor for multiple summers, including travel-based programs, which strengthened my ability to adapt to new environments and manage group dynamics. In addition, I’ve served as a peer mentor for three years, supporting younger students through guidance and encouragement. These experiences have deepened my understanding of children’s needs and how to support them with patience, structure, and attentiveness. I’m patient, observant, and good at matching kids energy, whether they’re super active or a little shy. I also volunteered at a Dementia Care Center, where I used art to connect with older adults, so creativity is a big part of who I am. My cultural awareness is another aspect of my personality. I enjoy arts and crafts, staying active, and practicing my Spanish (I’m an intermediate speaker). I also grew up with a Pomeranian-Papillon mix for over 10 years, so I’m totally comfortable around friendly pets! Finally, I am more than willing run errands, though I don't have a car, do light cleaning, light cooking, and light laundry.
Having just completed my master's degree in Global Health, I have recently moved to San Francisco and am looking to work in childcare while I get settled. I have steadily watched children of all ages (anywhere from 4 months to 11 years) since I was a young teenager. I last worked as an after-school nanny to a five-year-old boy while I was getting my undergraduate degree in Washington, DC. I have also worked as an English literacy tutor for kindergarteners. I genuinely adore children, and would love to help your family out! I am also happy to provide references. In my free time, I love to practice yoga, rock climb, cook, and explore the city's parks and museums.
Hello!! My Name is Toni. I am a junior in college interested in early childhood education. I have been working as an afterschool instructor at an elementary school for about 2yrs. I love kids, I love being able to inspire and encourage them! My favorite things are reading, pottery, paint by number, and I’ve just got into legos. I love sports and I am a super active person. I look forward to hearing from you!
Hi! My name is Graisen. I'm currently a doctoral student in the field of Occupational Therapy. Caring for others has always been a huge part of who I am, and it's one of the reasons I chose my career. In addition to babysitting experience with children of different ages, I'm the oldest sibling and cousin in my family, so I've naturally grown up helping care for younger children. I've also helped care for my aunt with Down syndrome, which has taught me patience, compassion, adaptability, and the importance of meeting people where they are. These experiences have shaped the caregiver I am today. I'm responsible, dependable, patient, and creative. I love creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment where children feel comfortable and supported. Whether it's helping with homework, planning activities, preparing meals, sticking to routines, or simply being someone they can trust, I always strive to provide attentive and compassionate care. I'm also happy to help with light housekeeping, meal prep, pet care, and other household tasks to make life a little easier for busy families. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your loved ones, and I would be honored to provide reliable, thoughtful care for your family.
Hi! My name is Amelia and I am a Sophomore at George Washington University! I offer child care, petsitting, and household services. I love babysitting and have been babysitting in some capacity since I was 17. The mind of a child is quite possibly the most imaginative and inquisitive thing that exists in the world and I love being a part, however small, in making sure young minds are able to flourish in a safe and welcoming world. I have taken care of children from toddler age to middle school age kids but I am willing and capable of taking care of children outside of that age range. In the past I have tutored, provided transportation, and lead crafts and games for the children I have cared for. As well as babysitting I am available to do household tasks including but not limited to running errands, cooking, and cleaning. Although I am most experienced with taking care of cats, I love meeting and taking care of any furry or scaly friends.
