$30 per hour for 1 child

Hi, I'm Malia! I am 30 years old and have been working in childcare since 2011. I spent the last 3 years as a nanny for a family caring for the children from 4 months-3 years old. Before that, I spent 5 years working as a substitute teacher at an early childhood education center where I worked with infants through Pre-K classes. I graduated from Portland State University in 2019. I love to go on walks, explore parks & neighborhoods, dance, sing, play guitar, read, and bake. Creativity and mindfulness are very important to me. I am hoping to share my care and optimism with your children and whole family. I am currently available for occasional sitting as well as flexible week to week schedules.

$22 per hour for 1 child

Hi there! I'm Sophia, and I'm a junior at PSU (age 23) studying environmental studies and child & family studies. I'm a lifelong Portlander, and am hoping to enter the outdoor education field after college. I've been babysitting for 10 years now, caring for children ages 3 months to 12 years. I also have experience as a daycare teacher (8 months at My Bundle of Joy in NE Portland), nanny, tutor, and camp counselor. I'm energetic, creative and attentive, and I really do love kids. I would love to do art, read, dance/sing, cook, go on walks, visit the library, or go on outdoor adventures with your kiddo(s)! I'm certified in Pediatric First Aid & CPR, and enrolled in Oregon's Central Background Registry. I do have a driver's license, but I do not have a car. I'm happy to do pick-ups/drop-offs and any other outings with your own car, on foot, via public transportation, or even on bike! *** 1/11/26 I’m back on Urban Sitter after a few years, so that’s why my reviews are not recent, but I’ve continued to do plenty of consistent childcare in the meantime. I’m happy to provide more recent references if you’d like :)

$23 per hour for 1 child

My name is Karly and I am currently 36 years old. I value integrity, vulnerability, compassion, growth, creativity and autonomy. Currently I am a social worker that specializes in behavioral but will be leaving my role on the county crisis team. I recently went back to school and am in a nursing program now. I plan to nanny for the next 18 months-2 years until I have my BSN and RN license. I have a wide range of experience nannying: Occasional sitting, after-school sitting, regular full-time nanny, and live-in nanny for triplet infants until they were 4 years old. I have numerous years of mixed experiences and families. I would love to share more about the families I have worked with. I am CPR/First Aid trained as well as educated on several therapeutic approaches when caring for children especially if they are escalated. I have worked in childcare centers as well as Children's hospital because I love to volunteer. Keeping active and structured to create positive behavior, I strive for that. I cook, clean and love animals.

Elise $30 per hour for 1 child

Hi Families! My name is Elise and I'm excited to meet some of you and see if our needs and values align. I have so. much. experience. working with children and families. I've been a preschool teacher for most of my career but I also have many years of experience working in elementary classrooms. I have a BA in Child and Adolescent Development and an MS in Education. My Master's thesis was about the power of play in early childhood development so I am always finding ways to make even the most mundane moments full of play and learning. I'm a storyteller by nature and love bringing that to children. They love it too! I'm so comfortable around kids and am extremely confident in my abilities, and yet, I am consistently humbled by what they continue to teach me after all these years. Let's get to know each other and see if I would be a good fit for your family!

Cheri $17 per hour for 1 child

Hi - My name is Cheri and I have cared for preemie babies to grade school age. My daughter had quintuplets so I had the unique experience of caring for all ages and many kids at the same time. I love reading to children and playing games with them or just listening to what they have to say. I love to take walks with children and point out wild flowers and birds and squirrels. I have a corgi and walk him on the Clear Creek trail often and if parents would like me to walk with their kids at Clear Creek it is an amazing safe and interesting place for kids. I also am willing to assist with household stuff and running errands. I love cats and dogs so I’m open to feeding or taking walks with pets. My last job was working with people with special needs in a work environment. During that time I worked with young people with autism and Down syndrome. I’m seeking part-time hours and would be available to care for families in Silverdale, Poulsbo and Bremerton.
