Hi! My name is Jahiyyah. Ever since I was younger, I’ve always known that I loved being around children and working with them, which has lead me to where I am today. I’m currently in college, majoring in Early Childhood Education. I also work full time at a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool in DC, so I’m available on weekends and occasionally on weekday evenings. A few fun facts about me: I love reading, writing, anything arts and crafts related, and traveling. When babysitting, I love to bring different activities - depending on the kids’ ages - to keep them engaged (coloring books, watercolor paint, air dry clay, puzzles/board games, etc.) as well as walks around the neighborhood/to a local park for some fresh air. I’m also open to any other activities they’re interested in. I’m the eldest daughter of 4 children and basically my siblings second mother. I’ve help raised them and my cousins children. I’ve also taken care of my little cousins. I can cook, clean, read, and help with assignments.
