After years working in hospitality and most recently as a Corporate Catering Director within a law firm, I decided to take a step in a new direction and focus more intentionally on the things that have always mattered to me: psychology, wellness, and working with children. I’m currently pursuing my degree in Psychology while continuing to deepen my yoga teaching practice. I’m a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), certified in Children’s Yoga, and CPR/AED/First Aid certified for both adults and children. Caring for children has also been part of my life for many years. I began babysitting and nannying in high school and continued throughout my early college years. Today, I’m also a very involved aunt to my 6-year-old niece and almost 1-year-old nephew. My niece, Emily, is on the autism spectrum, and spending time with her has given me an even deeper appreciation for how differently children communicate, process their surroundings, and express their needs. I bring a calm, warm, patient presence into the homes I work in, while still understanding the importance of structure, safety, routine, and play. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each child as an individual and creating an environment where they can feel comfortable, supported, and completely themselves.

Hello Santa Clara Families Caring for seniors isn't easy. Often, they are more fragile than they realize themselves. I worked as a Personal Care Assistant for eights years in assisted living and private homes. I do transfers, daily hygiene, housekeeping, and cooking. I'm not afraid of work and would rather get it done and then sit and chat. I'm a good listener. I'm sort of a fuddy-duddy home type and I like to make things look nice. First and foremost I am a mother of 7. Two of them I gave birth to. My oldest is 4 almost 5 and my youngest is 3. I was a daycare teacher for 2 years at early beginnings. I absolutely loved it and even with years and years of baby sitting experience I still learned and continue to learn new things! I love to go on adventures or make our own. Im very crafty. Im no stranger to children with autism or behavioral issues either. My son is also very very intelligent for a 4 year old. I have been caring for pets for over 10+ years. I do drop ins, walks, overnights, and the occasional kennel and board in our personal homes. I have cats that all love dogs and other cats as well as children of all ages! I have been working with regular clients for 4-6 years making weekly or even multiple weekly drop in visits to potty or go on walks. I have regulars who's homes I often stay overnight in sometimes days or a week at a time while the family is away. I do not have a breed restriction & I also take emergency situations as well.

I am a life-long learner, educator and parent of a 24-year-old young man. As a parent, I spent endless hours immersed in his world guided by the philosophy of learning through creative play and exploration. This was especially true when we lived on a remote island off the coast of Washington State for the better part of his first seven years. During that time we wandered the island, investigating nature, telling stories, and developing our imaginations. Although my role as a parent is now more like that of an advisor, we continue to spend time together singing and sharing our life experiences and wisdom. In addition to spending time with my son, I have been involved in the life of children since middle school serving a variety of roles, including babysitting, teaching, advising student members of clubs, monitoring and leading non-academic play groups, and investigating caregiver-child interactions to better understand a child’s social and emotional development. In short, I know and love being with kids. One of my greatest strengths as a caregiver is my ability to connect with children of all ages and create safe and accepting environments where they are able to take risks and explore and express their inner selves.
