Hi parents, New to UrbanSitter, Santa Monica local for over 33 years, mom and USC Graduate. I have been babysitting and tutoring for over 30 years. Originally I came to the US as an Aupair when I was 18 and took care of an infant and elementary school age children. Over the years during college and graduate school here in LA I continued to provide part-time nanny and babysitter services. I have also continued to care for children of all ages when I became a mom because I love taking care of and teaching children and often watched friends’ kids and organized playdates when they were younger. I am very active, love the outdoors and the beach, I even own an e-scooter so I am a cool 😎 mom, and I play soccer, love to bike, hike, can teach swimming and beach and ocean safety. I am a certified USA triathlon coach and ex-triathlete and marathoner, and I also taught German and digital media classes at USC, my Alma Mater where I graduated with two Master’s degrees. I am known to be responsible, mature, caring, and loving. I love to give hugs and listen, have advanced certifications in childcare and I am First Aid/AED/CPR certified for infants, children and adults. Hi there! I'm Greer :) I am here to help with all of your childcare, senior care, pet care, or household service needs! As the second oldest of 7 children, caretaking has always come very naturally to me. I loved being attentive, playing with, and helping my younger siblings from the moment they were born. Whether that was playing pretend with them when they were little or driving them to/from school/dance class/soccer practice, helping with meals, etc... My very first job was as a camp counselor - where I was in charge of the 5-8 year olds. And I started babysitting kids in my neighborhood from the time I was 14! I was also a caretaker to my grandmother before she passed away from breast cancer in 2022. Helping keep her house organized and clean, cooking her meals and running errands for her. I grew up with 2 chihuahua and 2 cats (despite being allergic) and I am a HUGE lover of animals of all sizes! As for me, my friends would describe me as bubbly and silly while still remaining grounded. I attended USC while working full time so I know the importance of time management and multitasking. My favorite things are baking, singing disney songs, hiking, going to the beach, planning themed movie nights, and spending quality time with the people I love.

Hi! I'm Rachael. I'm 27 and live in the Marina. I found my passion for working with kids when I was 13 years old and became a mothers helper. From there, I've worked at different schools, internships at speech clinics, and eventually earned my Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). I've also worked for several ABA clinics supporting children with disabilities, and I'm very comfortable with positive behavior strategies. I am experienced working with newborns, infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. What matters most to me is connecting with your child, using positive reinforcement (like praise, attention, and play), and creating a comfortable, safe space for them. When I'm with your child, you can leave and genuinely not worry. I come prepared with high energy and hands-on activities. 99% of the time, they're having so much fun that they forget to check the door :)

SCHEDULING: Please reach out. I am very flexible. Even though I have a set availability, I still may be able to care for your kiddos. I DO NOT do overnights UNLESS I have worked for the family before and feel safe. I have over 8 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings, including as a nanny, substitute teacher, tutor, and summer camp leader. For the past 6+ years, I’ve been actively involved in students’ education through both school and in-home tutoring. I have experience working with children ages 4 and up and truly enjoy helping kids learn, grow, and build confidence. As a nanny, my role has primarily focused on tutoring, creating fun and engaging adventures and activities (my favorite part!), and helping with bedtime routines. While my experience has mainly centered around childcare and education, I’m also open to assisting with household tasks as needed. My experience as a substitute teacher, both short- and long-term, has helped me develop strong classroom management, communication, and problem-solving skills. I am currently a rising junior at the University of Southern California and want to go into the public relations field. I started babysitting at the age of 14, and love immersing myself into the imaginations of the children I watch over - whether it’s building train tracks or dreaming of an entire piano concert. I have experience dropping children off at extracurricular activities, playing games and coloring, helping with homework, bedtime routines, cooking, and cleaning kitchens/residual messes. I also spent a semester as a student teacher for a class of 5-year-olds, where I helped teach math and worked one-on-one with students who needed extra attention. In this role, I helped discipline the children while encouraging them to become bright, passionate young learners. In my personal time, I love reading and going for walks around the city, but most especially I love trying new ice cream spots :)

Hello, my name is Mariam and I am a senior in college at USC. I am offering childcare, senior care, pet and household services. I have babysat ages as young as 6 months to 12 years since high school. I have a younger brother and many little cousins I’ve watched over the years. I am very caring, nurturing, funny, love working with kids and dogs. I have been an RA for teenagers and a camp counselor/ mentor for middle and high school children. I value education, a well balanced life, and entertainment/arts since I am a film student. I can work with any age, grade , pet, and even help out around the house and with homework.

As an aunt and caregiver, I love working with families and their children! I have worked as a day camp counselor, swim teacher, newborn and young child nanny, as well as volunteer with programs like Jasper Ridge Farm and CASA. My favorite part about working with kids and babies is getting to know their individual personalities, as each one is so different! I particularly enjoy and excel at working with kids under the age of five, including newborns and infants. I would say my general approach is to provide fun, creative, and engaging care, with *a lot* of patience and communication. I also believe in gently reaffirming boundaries and doing our best to stick to your child's individual routine. I hope to promote a sense of confidence, creativity, and security in the children I provide care for. I have been infant CPR certified within the last 2.5 years, and will be renewing asap. I have also been lifeguard certified and am more than happy to get re-trained if your child has access to a private pool.
