Hi families ! I'm Natalia, I’m from Colombia, and I wanted to introduce myself and share a bit about my experience. I have over 10 years of solid, hands on experience working with children in different environments. I spent a full year as an Au Pair in Calabasas, where I was fully responsible for the kids’ daily routines school drop-offs and pick-ups, activities, homework, meals, and overall structure at home. That role required a high level of trust, organization, and consistency, and it’s been a big part of shaping the way I work with families. Even to this day, I’m still very close with the family I lived with, which I think says a lot about the relationship we built. Before that, I worked as a gymnastics coach with kids of different ages, where I learned how to manage groups, keep kids engaged, and create a fun but structured environment. I’ve also worked in a hospital setting with children, including those with special needs, which gave me a deeper level of patience, awareness, and ability to adapt to each child’s specific needs. Alongside all of this, I’ve consistently babysat over the years, working with different families and age groups. I also volunteer constantly at church with the kids groups. I’m very confident handling routines, multiple children, and creating a safe, positive environment while still being proactive and supportive to both kids and parents. ✅CAR ✅CPR ✅ BILINGUAL (ENGLISH-SPANISH) ✅GREAT WITH DOGS / PETS ✅NON-SMOKER ✅VACCINATED ✅ SOLID REFERENCES

“Natalia was wonderful! She arrived right on time and immediately interacted with our children in a way that felt completely natural and genuine. Our daughter, Kelsey, took to her almost immediately, which gave us a great sense of comfort from the start. Natalia was confident, attentive, and communicated clearly and effectively. She has such a warm, sweet disposition, and it was evident that engaging with children comes naturally to her. We felt comfortable knowing our kids were in her care and really appreciated how personable and easygoing she was. We had a great experience with Natalia and will absolutely be utilizing her again. We’re very happy to have found her and would definitely recommend her to other families!”

Booked by 32 families in Alhambra, CA

Hello! My name is Marandah, and I am a 29 year old woman currently seeking occasional and part time childcare work! In my free time, I absolutely love to cook and bake, spend time outdoors (I run, hike, surf, and swim when I can), play music (singing, guitar, and piano), and write/perform short stories. Childcare has been my first and most long-lasting job-- when I was 12, a family friend would pay me five dollars an hour to walk their infant around the house in a sling until she fell asleep. I have experience with children of all ages, from newborns to teens, and am also experienced working with children and young adults with physical & developmental disabilities. Additionally, I have taught summer camp, theater workshops for children, and given swim lessons. I am a high-energy person who has always found working with kids to be engaging, dynamic, inspiring, and hilarious, and I would love to work with your family!

Booked by 10 families in Alhambra, CA

Hi my name is Yulissa! I love to be a child caretaker. I’ve raised my siblings since they were little. I worked at an after school program in an elementary school and loved my job very much. I switched my major from nursing to teaching because I found that I love working with kids. I’m understanding and compassionate and very playful. I believe that children should be protected and loved. I want to be another sitter in this world parents can trust and babies can hang out with and feel safe. I truly believe that children should be educated with love, patience, and validation.

“As Yulissa’s previous supervisor for an afterschool program, Yulissa demonstrates exceptional skills in managing and caring for children of various ages. She consistently showed a great deal of patience, creativity and responsibility while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children under her care, and she cares tremendously. Her abilities to engage children in educational and fun activities were outstanding as she create an environment where children felt happy, safe, and were eager to learn. Her strong communication skills allowed her to interact effectively with children, parents, and school staff, keeping everyone informed about the day to day wellbeing of the children. I am confident that Yulissa’s experience, dedication and genuine love for children makes her an excellent choice for any childcare position. She would be a valuable asset to any family looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

Booked by 35 families in Alhambra, CA

Hi, there! My name is Alyssa, and I am native to the Bay Area, having moved to LA in 2024. I love to read, learn about different cultures, cook, and spend time outdoors, usually by taking long walks around the neighborhood with my dog or just sitting outside and soaking in the sun. Having grown up in a big family I’ve always been surrounded by kids and loved it. Their happy-go-lucky nature and inquisitive spirit make it a joy for me! In terms of childcare experience: I've spent three summers working as a camp counselor for Steve and Kate's Camp in San Francisco. The attendance of campers varied on a daily basis but the Sunset location's average was around 130 kids. The ages ranged from 5 to 13. Every day was busy, and I never knew what to expect, but it was always a lot of fun. For three separate summers, I worked as a teaching assistant at my old high school, St. Ignatius College Prep, mainly working with middle school-aged kids. I’ve been using the app Urbansitters since about 2018 and I’ve gotten to know many lovely families as a result. I love getting to know all sorts of different kids. Even though they may be young, they all have their own unique personalities, which makes my job of hanging out with them all the more fun. If you have any questions please contact me. Hope to hear from you! :)

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
