Hi, I’m Mara. I’m 27 with over 10 years of paid childcare experience, working with children from newborn through teenage years. I’ve supported families in long-term, short-term, and overnight roles, and I’m confident handling everything from daily routines to more involved care needs. I also have experience working with children on the autism spectrum, ADHD, and other developmental needs, and I approach each child with patience, awareness, and adaptability. My personality is calm, grounded, and attentive. I naturally create a peaceful, structured environment where children feel safe, understood, and comfortable. I’m very intentional about how I show up present, observant, and responsive without being overwhelming. I have strong experience with infant and toddler care, school routines, transportation to activities, homework support, and meal prep. In many of my long-term roles, I’ve also supported the home during school hours or summer camp schedules, keeping things clean, organized, and running smoothly so families can come home to a well-maintained space. I’m comfortable with both childcare-related tasks and overall household upkeep. I value structure, communication, and mutual respect, and I do best with families who are looking for someone dependable, calm, and proactive. Someone they can trust to handle both childcare and household support without needing constant direction. I’m dependable, consistent, and respectful of each family’s routines and preferences. Families I’ve worked with value that they can trust me to step in seamlessly, stay calm in any situation, and handle responsibilities with care. I take what I do seriously and genuinely care about creating a positive, safe experience for both the child and the family.

“Amazing, quick to respond and my daughter loved her. Will hire again”

“For the last 18 months, Evelyn has been an incredibly important part of our family, and it is hard to imagine our daughter's early years without her.As our daughter prepares to start school shortly after her second birthday, we find ourselves reflecting on just how much Evelyn has contributed to her growth, happiness, and development. Simply put, we could not have asked for a better nanny. From day one, our daughter (Baby A) absolutely adored Evelyn. She warmed to her immediately, and watching their bond develop has been one of the greatest joys of the past year and a half. Evelyn brings a special combination of warmth, confidence, creativity, wisdom, and pure joy that children naturally gravitate toward. What makes Evelyn so exceptional is that she truly understands children. One of the most impactful things she did was teach Baby A sign language before she could talk. The difference was remarkable. Our daughter was able to communicate her needs, feelings, and thoughts long before she had words, which dramatically reduced frustration and gave her an incredible sense of confidence. We now tell every parent we know that babies should learn sign language, and we have Evelyn to thank for showing us firsthand how transformative it can be.She also guided us through countless milestones and transitions. When Evelyn started, our daughter strongly disliked tummy time. Evelyn somehow knew exactly how to make it fun and engaging. Later, she helped us navigate getting off the bottle, potty training, and all the other developmental transitions that come with raising a toddler. She always approached challenges with patience, creativity, and a deep understanding of child development. Evelyn is wonderfully whimsical in a way that feels straight out of a storybook. She would create sock puppets out of nowhere, invent water-play activities, dream up art projects, and find creative ways to turn ordinary days into adventures. Her artistic talent is extraordinary, and she brought so much imagination and wonder into our daughter's life. As parents, one of the things we appreciated most was how communicative and trustworthy she was. Evelyn truly partnered with us. She listened carefully to our hopes and preferences for our daughter and always respected them. We never had to worry about what our daughter was eating, what activities she was participating in, or whether our wishes were being followed. We trusted her completely. The McKinney Family,”

• Bachelor’s in Sociology with a minor in Child Development • Master’s in Education in progress • Certified child care provider in the state of California includes: yearly CPR certification, vaccinations, trust line certified, and more! I believe my experience aligns well with what you’re looking for because I’m a very compassionate and self motivated individual. My family has a licensed childcare center. The way we’ve seen our mother teach, guide, support, and encourage little ones is definitely the reason my sisters and I began our journey toward working with children and the root to our ongoing career paths. When time permits I supervise the children and assistants. As well as connect with parents and keep them up to date. Moreover, I worked at an elementary school in Hermosa Beach and at behavioral health network as a Behavior Technician. In regards to nannying I have experience all around - overnight stays, date nights, part time position, and full time position ( I was with my previous family for two years:) Mothers helper: I come in as an extra set of hands for a couple of hours to take care of typical household needs. Which includes laundry, tidying, organizing, and light cleaning. I am open to running errands/ grocery shopping - gas fee add on. This does not include childcare coverage, but can for an increase hourly rate. Nanny work: I enjoy spending time with children (art, reading, outdoor play, etc.) and helping them get out of their comfort zone. When it comes to activities with the child/children it really depends on what you’re open to as the parent. If I’m given a budget we could go to the zoo, aquarium, etc. Of course there’s always the park, library, and playing at home. I’m open to using my car when needed (with gas reimbursement:). Overall, I always keep in mind on what’s in the best interest for the child (of course, with the input of the parents). Note: Regardless of the type of booking I want to emphases that my job is to focus on the well being and development of your child/ children. When time permits I don’t mind unloading/ loading dishwasher, etc. I am in no means a professional cook or cleaner. *I have experience house- sitting and dog sitting as well! * rates vary on holiday bookings * If this is something that works for you I look forward on connecting further. Respectfully, Susana

“Susana was wonderful! She was reliable, kind, and easy to communicate with, and I felt completely comfortable having her help with our family. She was responsible, professional, and great with the girls. We really appreciated her help and would absolutely recommend her to other families.”

Hey Parents! My name is Jessica and I was born and raised in Austin, TX. I graduated with a BA in Theater Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. I have been a babysitter/nanny off and on for the last 13 years. I have looked after newborns and children up to 14 years of age. I truly enjoy spending time with them and being apart of their development journeys. My responsibilities have included picking up/driving children, light child-related household duties, putting down for naps/bedtime (we love a nap routine!), cooking/preparing meals, feeding, helping with homework, reading, going out for walks, and of course general care and playtime! In my off time I have founded a nonprofit called Orísun Collective, and we host creative arts summer camps for kids in Nigeria. I would run the camp as well as teach the acting class. My hope is that all children will have the space and support to be their full selves and reach their full potential. I am a very goal-oriented person, and I know that I am capable of achieving every single thing I put my mind to. I have been hosting an event every 6 months for the last 10 years called Girls With Goals, where I bring a group of women together at my house and we talk about our goals, write them down, and keep each other accountable throughout the year. Everyone always leaves inspired and motivated to conquer their goals!

“Jessica was amazing. We hired her multiple times to watch our two kids under 3, and every experience was a great one. She was dependable, kind, patient, and very good with both children. She made us feel at ease. She is caring, capable, and experienced. We were grateful for her help and would gladly hire her again.”

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
