Joovana 1 review
$35 per hour for 1 child

Hi Bay Area families,🌉 I’m Joovana, I’m a mom, a mother’s helper, and someone who genuinely loves taking care of kids and helping families.🤍 I’ve been caring for children for over 20 years and have had the opportunity to help more than 100 families through Care and Nextdoor, I have caring for everyone from newborns to teenagers. I was a Sunday school teacher for 8 years as well. I’m the kind of person who likes to jump in and help wherever I’m needed. Need someone to pick up the kids, run to the grocery store, help with potty training, change diapers, clean bottles, do laundry, fold and put clothes away, tidy up, or even make dinner? I’m happy to help. Being a parent is already hard, while juggling with work, life and family, let me help you! And if your kids just want someone to hang out and play with them, I’m there for that too! I love reading, playing, getting outside, doing activities, and just being present with kids. I’m not on my phone while I’m caring for them, and I’m happy to follow your family’s preferences when it comes to screen time and routines. I’m also a mom to 5 great kids, my oldest is 21 and youngest is 3, so I understand how much an extra set of reliable hands can mean! I have a clean driving record, I love organizing and helping manage a home, and most importantly, I really love kids. Oh, and I’m CPR certified! Whether you need a mother’s helper, house manager, part-time help, date-night care, or simply someone to come in and make your day a little easier, that’s exactly what I’m here for. You’ll find someone reliable, friendly, caring, and ready to help wherever you need me. ❤️ I live in San Mateo, and willing to drive up to 15 miles to help you.🤍

“Joovana has worked with our family for more than a year, caring for our son from when he was about 9 months old until he recently started school. She has been a wonderful caregiver and is genuinely loving, patient, and caring with children. Our son is usually very cautious around people he meets for the first time and normally takes a while to warm up. We were very impressed that Joovana was able to make him feel comfortable enough to nap with her on the very first day they met. From the beginning, she built a very special and trusting relationship with him. Joovana has been great to work with, and we always felt that our son was in caring and capable hands. Even now that he is in school and doesn’t see her regularly, he still sometimes says Joovana’s name at home, which says a lot about how much he likes and remembers her. We are very grateful for the care and love Joovana has given our son over the past year and would happily recommend her to other families looking for a kind and dependable caregiver.”

Yeinell

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in Brisbane, CA

Hey there, my name is Yeinell (or Jay for short)! A bit about me: I was born in the Dominican Republic but spent most of my life in NY up until college. I recently graduated from UC Berkeley where I studied psychology and public policy. I have been babysitting since I was 14 years old (not including being a full time big sis/eldest cousin). I have worked with toddlers for about 4 years and children from TK- 8th grade ages for about 7 years. Most of my work experience has involved caring for or learning to understand children; whether that is mentoring, teaching abroad, or conducting developmental psych research the past couple of years. I have in the past worked for a dog walking and cat sitting group where I honed my skills in the pet caretaking field. Currently, I work full time with Americorps at an elementary school in San Francisco managing behavioral issues/interventions, teaching the SEL Curriculum, and running the Mentoring For Success Program. I love hiking, snowboarding , BJJ , and meditation! I also love animals and have raised 2 kitties myself 🙂! I speak Spanish, English, and Portuguese and love learning about new cultures. I have a passion for helping others and fostering a healthy environment for children to grow inside and outside of the home. I am available after school most days until late nights, and almost all weekends! If you have any questions about my availability or experience please do not hesitate to reach out, I am willing to accommodate!

I’ve built wonderful relationships through childcare — more than being a nanny, I truly enjoy becoming part of the kids’ world and playing with them. What makes me happiest is seeing them have fun and feel safe. I’m very empathetic, patient, and proactive, and I love to support the family whenever possible — whether it’s helping with light tasks or simply creating a calm, positive environment at home.

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
