Hi! :) My name is Ruby, and I’m a sitter who genuinely loves working with kids and being someone families can rely on. I grew up helping raise my nieces and nephews, so childcare has always been a big part of my life. I’ve cared for children ranging from infants to middle school age, including early mornings and full-day care while parents were at work. I’m comfortable with diaper changes, bottle feeding, meal prep, bedtime routines, and light household tasks like dishes and laundry. Since joining UrbanSitter, I’ve also gained experience working with different families and adapting to different routines, parenting styles, and age groups. One of my nephews has nut and egg allergies (and previously had a milk allergy), so I’m very cautious about food safety and always pay close attention to labels and cross-contamination. Safety is always my top priority. I also love keeping kids engaged with fun but meaningful activities like puzzles, reading, music and dancing, crafts, and little learning games. I enjoy finding creative ways to make activities both entertaining and educational. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, currently finishing school through homeschooling, and working toward getting my CPR/First Aid certification and driver’s license. I’m responsible, patient, outgoing, and truly enjoy building positive connections with the kids I care for. Although professional babysitting/nannying is still fairly new to me, childcare itself has always been a big part of my life, and I’ve continued gaining experience through the families I’ve worked with on UrbanSitter. I’m confident in my ability to provide a safe, dependable, and positive environment for the kids I care for, and I’m always willing to learn and grow with each family I work with.
