My name is Careen, and I'm 22 years old with a strong background in caregiving, with several years of experience in supporting & babysitting children (Toddler to school-aged children), caring for seniors and pets in both home and community settings. As the eldest daughter & first born child in my family, caregiving has always come naturally to me. Growing up, I took on the responsibility of caring for & helping in raising my younger siblings in any ways I could - helping with their daily routines, meals, schoolwork, providing emotional support and positively contributing to their overall well-being. I am beyond grateful for this early experience, as it has taught me how to be proactive, patient, safety skills, reliable, effective communication, and how to balance care with compassion. This has shaped who I am today & allowed me to discover my passion for studying clinical psychology, and child development. Over the years, I've also devoted time to caring for & babysitting my younger cousins, watching them grow from toddlers into confident teens. I've learned how to adapt my approach to fit each child's needs - keeping them engaged, safe, and supported at every stage. My favorite activities to do with children are reading to them, arts & crafts, building lego sets & building blocks, cooking, doing exercise/dance videos & going out on walks to the park, coloring books, & painting. I also have experience in tutoring all K-12 children with math, science, & technology/computer science. I've devoted time to caring for my grandparents, assisting with household tasks & chores, companionship, and ensuring their physical & emotional needs were met. Non-medical services I offer include cooking & preparing meals, driving, taking them to the store, running errands, and grocery pick-up & delivery. I truly enjoy providing senior care because I love building genuine connections, listening to their stories & learning all of the wisdom they have to offer from their personal life experiences. My goal is to make them feel safe, valued & cared for. In addition, I'm also an animal lover with hands-on experience caring for family pets (along with my own animals), including feeding, walking, grooming, and maintaining their daily routines. I've done both overnight stays, along with daily check-ins to the home to care for pets. I consider that animals are part of the family too, and my priority is making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved.

Hello, I am a mother of two sons ages 28 & 26, and a grandmother of 2, one 7 year old Autistic granddaughter and one 8 month old grandson. I noticed the signs of delay in my granddaughter and successfully facilitated her Autism Spectrum Disorder Evaluation through the approval process of her ABA services. So, I work very well with special needs children. I developed lesson plans for my nonverbal Autistic granddaughter and she now reads fluently, her comprehension skills are excellent and she is well beyond children her age intellectually. I am a patient teacher and I have multiple college degrees and I owned and operated a family day home licensed for 8-10 children. I also have been a foster parent. I work from home as a Project Manager for a nonprofit community development corporation that builds affordable housing in the Bay Area. I do this for extra side work to fund my entrepreneurial ventures. I have strong organizational skills, great attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills and I can adapt to any situation. I am a very good housekeeper and cook. I love children, am warm, attentive and patient with children and Elders/Seniors and have great reverence and respect for Elders/Seniors as my own grandparents are still living at ages 94 and 93. I am very protective of both children and Elders/Seniors. My schedule is flexible.
