Hello, I recently relocated from the Bay Area to Sacramento and very much look forward to working with your family! I have a B.A. in History (emphasis in Latin America) and M.A. in Education (emphasis on Bilingual Education) from the University of San Francisco. I was fortunate to study abroad in Morocco through USF. I had the pleasure of working as a middle and high school teacher in Sacramento, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. I have a passion for child care, language learning, world cultures, travel, and food.

I am a mother of 3 boys; my oldest is now 18 years old and my youngest are twin 13 year old boys. To say that I have experience with children would be an extreme understatement. I am trying to return to the general workforce but since I primarily have experience in the medical field with extensive medical experience I was hoping that childcare would be a good entryway. I am very responsible and I come with a unique ability to communicate with children in a manner that they are comfortable with (non-condescending). I am also a returning English Literature student hoping to eventually become a English Literature Professor at the University level.

Hi families, my name is Maya! I have 5 years of full time nannying and mother's helper experience with newborns and infants as young as 1 month, and children as old as 10. I have most often worked with multiple children (anywhere from 2-4 at once). I have in depth experience with potty training, transitioning to solids, sleep training (self soothe method and CIO method), tummy time, and speech delays and recently have experience with nanny shares. I also have coursework in early speech development and Linguistics. I’m trilingual and speak both Spanish and Portuguese fluently.
