Hello! My love and care for engaging with children and helping them grow inspired me to pursue a BA in Child & Adolescent Development at CSUN. I've learned a lot about the social and emotional sciences of children and healthy ways of disciplining. I'm very fascinated with shaping a child to be a vocal, positive, ambitious and kind person. After all, they are the future! In my senior year, I wanted to supplement my academics with real world experience and have successfully cared for children ages 1 through 10 for the past 2 years through a school environment and private nannying/and babysitting. I've been responsible for school drop-offs and pick-ups, tutoring sessions, playtime activities, and have created memorable and educational experiences for children by taking them on interactive outings. I find myself loving 1-on-1 childcare environments and am looking for my next opportunity to help a child thrive on their own individual journey. I'm the oldest of my family including 40 first cousins. Kids were always around when I was growing up, and I always loved to take care of my cousins. I also grew up out in the woods with tons of dogs, pet chickens, and I learned to care for animals from a young age. As I got older, I became the main caretaker for my nephew who is 3 and the rest of my family is a bit jealous of how he gravitates towards me. I have never lost that childhood love of play, and I think that is what makes me an amazing caretaker, I know how to get on a level playing field with a kid and make even the hardest tasks fun and challenging. I'm calm and easy to be around kind of person, and that calm energy is grounding for kids and pets alike. I also am a very clean person and I like to keep my environment as tidy as possible.
