KeAra 1 review
$26 per hour for 1 child

Hey Y'all, my name is KeAra, and I've been babysitting for almost a decade. I have worked with all ages and have experience with special needs children, specifically autism and Down syndrome. I currently work as a paraprofessional aid in a special needs classroom, and with school being out, I am available for full-time work. I do not drive nor have a license!! I also have experience with pets, and am willing to do light housekeeping duties

ā€œKeAra was an excellent babysitter to my two little girls for a little over 4 years. I knew her mother from work, and when I needed a babysitter, she, of course, recommended her daughter. My youngest child, 6 when KeAra started and 10 when she left, has severe nonverbal autism, and my other daughter, 8 in the beginning and 12 in the end, is protective of her little sister and not so kind to strangers. KeAra was quick to connect with them both through her kindness and gentleness, and was able to follow boundaries that I had set, and was never upset when I mothered hen'd a couple of times when she was sitting. As the years went on, she stayed kind, professional, consistent, and engaged. My daughters had many phases through those years, and at times those interests were completely conflicting, but KeAra handled them like a pro. Through tantrums, meltdowns, and changing communication styles, she even learned sign language for a couple of months to help with Ari. She never lost her cool and had great instincts when dealing with all of it. My one con is that she didn't drive, because that would've been a tremendous help, but I can say she was always punctual. I can't recall a time she was late in the 4 years I worked with her. She did outings all the time with my girls, and I always knew they were in good hands. I can not recommend a better person than KeAra for anyone who is looking for a babysitter. She is dedicated to learning about a family and a child and how best she can help. She is calm, energetic, flexible, and all around an amazing person.ā€

Sandra $30 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Sandra, but I love being called Sandy! 😊 I’m 28 years old and originally from Mexico. I moved to the U.S. in 2019, and I’m fluent in Spanish and currently improving my English. I’ve been caring for kids since I was 12, starting by helping take care of my younger siblings and family members. I have experience with children from 3 months to 10 years old, and I truly enjoy creating a safe, loving, and fun environment where kids feel comfortable and cared for. I’m happy to help with more than just childcare, whether it’s preparing meals, tidying up after the kids, doing light household tasks, or keeping their routines on track. And I love to cook! I also have two dogs, so I’m very comfortable around pets and happy to help with them as well. šŸ¶ā¤ļø I’m a caring, responsible, patient, and dependable person, and I would love the opportunity to become someone your family can trust and feel comfortable having around your children. I look forward to meeting you and your little ones! 😊

Juliana $36 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I’m Juliana, a professional nanny with over 4 years of childcare experience in the Bay Area, caring for children from infancy through school age. I have extensive hands-on experience with babies and toddlers, including feeding, naps, diapering, developmental play, outings, and maintaining consistent routines. I’m warm, patient, reliable, and very attentive to each child’s individual needs. I genuinely enjoy creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn, explore, and have fun. I love planning age-appropriate activities, reading, going to parks, playgrounds, museums, storytimes, and organizing playdates. In addition to childcare, I’m comfortable helping with child-related tasks such as preparing meals, bottles, children’s laundry, keeping play areas organized, and maintaining their daily routines. I also have experience with school drop-offs and pick-ups and am comfortable driving children to activities and outings. I’m currently looking for a long-term nanny position with a wonderful family in the Bay Area, ideally working with an infant or young child. I’m especially interested in building a strong, trusting relationship with both the children and their parents and becoming a dependable part of the family’s routine. Looking forward to meeting your family!

Maura 2 reviews
$28 per hour for 1 child

Hello, I'm Maura. I'm 32 years old, I live in Oakland CA. I'm a very responsible, honest, kind and very patient person. I'm very dedicated to my work. I'm very flexible. I have experience taking care of children and babies. I'm certified in CPR. I speak Spanish and a little English. I really love taking care of children very well. I care about their well-being. I have my own vehicle and I have a valid California driver's license. I really enjoy going out outdoors with the children. Make their days dynamic and happy. I give a very safe environment to children. I like to play and make dynamics according to their ages. I really care that the children's days are very nutritious and positive. I like to work with families and adapt to their needs. I am very flexible to their opinions. I like to help families with their routines such as light cleaning, tidying

ā€œMaura has managed to care for our 1 and 3 year old at the same time without issue. She integrated into our family smoothly and quickly which was very helpful as these transitions can take time for some. She is very intelligent, I was impressed how she caught on quickly to our Elimination Communication (EC) routine with our youngest and helped keep all of that progressing. Maura would take them to the park each day for 2-3 hours so they had a lot of time outdoors which we love, plus she has a lot of energy to keep up with them! She is very capable of all the usual expectations like food prep, cleaning, pottying and nap times. Very respectful of our family values and requests (no screen time, etc.). Most importantly to us was the extremely warm and tender way that she cared for our children, we will never forget that. The children adore her. Our family in no longer in need of routine childcare but we hope to stay in touch with her, as we have all enjoyed the relationships that were established. Maura is truly a gem, and during a time where it’s incredibly difficult to find quality caregivers we feel so lucky to have found Maura.ā€

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
