I have been helping out with children of all ages for as long as I can remember, and still genuinely enjoy it! My experience includes nannying for over twenty years (newborns to teenagers, including multiples and siblings), household management, extensive babysitting, tutoring students from kindergarten to high school, teaching small classes, camp counseling, organizing and chaperoning birthday parties, traveling with families to help out during work trips and vacations, various volunteer work in between, plus the incomparable experience of being the oldest sister, and I became a foster parent in 2023. Having worked one-on-one with kids and managed parties of up to 30 has been great exposure to the million-and-one sides of a child, helping me better handle any situation thrown my way. I love to get down on the floor and play, but also know when to step back or step in as the adult—it’s that fine balance between play, patience, and positive direction. I am adept at figuring out which development and engagement styles work best for each individual child, with some of my personal favorite activities including outside time and walks, scavenger hunts, all kinds of crafting, puzzles, games, music, singing, mini dance parties, and reading together as much as possible. My most recent family experiences were focused on infants and toddlers, so I have an especially strong grasp of development appropriate activities for little ones. An important side note: I am vaccine conscientious and stay up-to-date on all recommended inoculations. I am certified to foster medically fragile babies and children, so prefer to work with families who are fully vaccinated (for applicable ages). If you've made it this far and think we'd mesh well, please feel free to reach out about availability and let's chat.

“My daughter loved spending the day with Abby! Abby was very understanding and flexible when I had to stay late for work. My daughter painted with Abby, went on a bike ride, did some summer worksheets, played with toys, and went to the park. Needless to say she can't wait to have Abby babysit her again. ”

Hello. My name is iara. I'm 28 years old and I have been working as a nanny for 8 years now. I've recently graduated from CSULB with a degree in International Studies. For the last four years, I have been working as a night nanny taking care of newborns overnight so the parents could sleep. My job consists of taking care of the babies (from the day they came from the hospital), changing diapers, feeding them, burping, and helping them fall back asleep while documenting everything to let the parents know. I also help parents stabling a routine, learn about their baby, and navigate life with a newborn. I have had the pleasure to work with a lot of amazing families with twins, preemies, etc. I love helping parents with their babies and I also don't mind doing chores around the house while the baby sleeps. I have certifications from reputable institutions such as "newborn care solutions", and CPR, and I'm also fully vaccinated. I have my transportation and can provide as many references as needed. If you have any questions and would like to talk more, please feel free to contact me.

Hello! A little about me is I have most of my experience with infants and toddlers, as the families I have babysat for are usually for younger children, but older kids are always welcome. Please let me know if you need a reference at any time! For some additional peace of mind, I have been BLS CPR certified for the last two years and am pursuing a nursing career to hopefully work in the Neonatal ICU in the near future! I’d love to give my full attention and care for up to 1-3 children. If needed, I do have my own transportation and wouldn’t mind going to the library or park. Please reach out for any concerns or questions! Additionally, I am very comfortable around dogs/cats, have grown up with them my whole life, and would love to care for them if that is the care you are looking for instead!

“Hailey is great definitely will rebook. ”

Hi my name is Maisha and I have around 4-5 years of paid babysitting experience! I have a lot of experience working with children, both through my job at Skyzone hosting birthday parties and as an assistant teacher at a preschool. I’ve also been taking care of my younger siblings and the children of my relatives and family friends for over 5 years , so I understand how important it is to be responsible, attentive, and to have fun. My responsibilities have included preparing meals, tutoring, arts/crafts, driving to / from school and more tasks. Im more than happy to help out with any household chores and my hours are very flexible so Im happy to work with your schedule. I’m friendly, outgoing, and love working with kids, so I’m excited to help out with babysitting and make sure your children have a fun and safe time! I am first aid-certified, i have my food handlers card, and my drivers license.

“Maisha is wonderful! She's very attentive, reliable, kind, and respectful. I WFH and needed help with my 7-month old daughter, and my daughter was instantly drawn to her. I really love how communicative and engaging she is with my daughter. Maisha is also very knowledgeable and family oriented. We went through several meet and greet with other candidates, and I knew right away Maisha was the one! I'd highly recommend her for kids of all ages. Our assignment was short because we are moving out of state, but we seriously will miss her! ☺️”

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
