Hello, my name is Winter! I'm a recent Sac State graduate with a BA in Deaf Studies and a minor in Childhood Development, and I'm fluent in both English and American Sign Language (ASL). I have experience working with kids, seniors, and pets - most recently as an in-class signing aide supporting Deaf and hard-of-hearing children. I love connecting with the people and animals I work with, and I try to bring patience, flexibility, and genuine care to everything I do. I'm comfortable with large breeds and don't mind shedding. Care includes walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of pets and cuddles. I really enjoy being outdoors and weaving in educational facts as I myself enjoy nature, gardening and camping. I try to encourage exploration of topics like reading (I am a voracious reader), gardening, international cultures ( I am half Hispanic and can speak a smidge of Spanish), cuisine and different genres of music. I believe that children should be immersed in the world they live in and see the magic that can be had if we just take the time to observe. Due to relocating to Sacramento mid-December, I am sad to leave my current nanny family. I have been with them for about 7 years. The children are currently 8 and soon to be 5. I like reading, cycling, listening to music, and spending time with my family. I consider myself an introverted and very responsible person. I also consider that my qualities are being a loving, nurturing, patient and reliable person. Since I became an aunt I discovered how much I like children, I really enjoy spending time with them. I have the most experience with babies from 0 to 1 years old because I have been taking care of my nephew since then, I know how to feed them, put them to sleep, change diapers and play with them.
