I worked at Brain Balance Achievement Center my senior year of college as well as Great Lakes Behavior Analysis my junior year! I have babysat for 10 years now! All of these experiences have helped me gain skills when working with all types of kids. I am looking for a job in the Chicago area but in the mean time I would love to help some families out! Hi! I’m Journie! 💕 I’m a college student, athlete, and future teacher who loves staying active and spending time with kids. I played basketball at Morton College and have wrestled since sixth grade, including competing in freestyle wrestling at Fargo and receiving a wrestling scholarship. Outside of sports, I love being outdoors, exploring nature, reading, and singing. I’m also studying Early Childhood Education because I hope to become a teacher one day. I’ve been working with children for almost three years as a kids counselor at my local park district. I spent two years with the Mavericks program, working with K–3rd graders, and this year I work with Trailblazers, working with 3rd–6th graders. I help supervise kids, organize activities, play sports like basketball and soccer, and even help run sports programs at the park district.
