I have nannied and babysat for over 20 years. I have been a household manager which includes duties such as running errands or scheduling plumbing. I was a live in nanny. I nannied for a newborns until age 5. I have babysat for families with 2 children and even 4 children. I have watched toddlers grow into preschoolers while a sibling is in grade school. I worked with various ages from newborns up to age 16. I really enjoy nannying for kids! I also taught swim lessons to children in groups up to 20 for 7 years which involved children in day camp. I was also a teacher's aide for English for 7th graders. I taught a week of poetry to grade school children, corrected papers, and helped the teacher. I taught art in Montessori schools for groups up to 14 children ranging in ages from 3-8 years old. I also worked for a daycare and watched up to 5 babies at one time while maintaining their feeding and diapering schedules and reading to them. I supervised up to 8 toddlers at a time and made sure they were entertained, fed and diapered at appropriate times. I also watched up to 10 five year olds at a time and we all had a ton of fun while playing and learning together! I have also cared for twins together! I clean bottles, change diapers, bathe and dress children, take children to the park and to activities as well as supervise play dates. I do household management duties such as car rental, oil changes, scheduling a plumber and letting him know the issue. I organize parties. I do grocery shopping and light housekeeping. I cook. I run errands. I communicate well with parents about their children’s daily growth. I have tons of fun nannying and the parents and children are pleased as well! I have a driver's license and a car. I am a great driver who is safe! I am vaccinated and boosted against covid. I also have TDAP and flu vaccines. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I love pets! I genuinely enjoy helping children to succeed in life and enjoy playing and learning with them! I would enjoy nannying for you! Hello! I have 7+ years experience with newborns-12 years old. I have experience with multiples with up to 4 at a time. I have a car. I've been always the go to babysitter in my neighborhood since I was about 14, so I've been babysitting majority of my life and LOVE doing it. I used to even volunteer at a park district for two summers as counselor because I just loved it that much. Kids/ babies are my PASSION. I take care of the kids I watch as if they where my own. I love to do fun educational games with them, go out to parks, and go for long walks. I'm a very fun, patient, easygoing, energetic, sweet and understanding person. I always go above and beyond and go out of my way to help make your life easier. I'm very reliable and always on time. If you pick me, I promise you won't be disappointed! I can start ASAP! Hi! I’m a graduate student located in Chicago with over 10 years of childcare experience and an educational background in public health and psychology. I have held several nannying positions as well as being a regular date night sitter or anything inbetween. I am comfortable with children of all ages, particularly infants and toddlers, but I enjoy working with older children as well. I have some experience with children with physical and developmental disabilities that can be discussed further. For multiple years in college I was an ACT tutor and test prep tutor and worked with kids 10+ yrs old 1-on-1. I also used a childcare app “Wyndy”, where I babysat for at least 30 different families through out the years and have several pre-made reviews I can show you. I am the oldest of 7 as well so besides having professional experience with children, I really love just working with kids, having fun with them & supporting their development. As a caregiver I would describe myself as warm, open-minded, and encouraging of children’s’ curiosity. I love going outdoors with kids on walks, to museums, etc, but also know how to entertain at home. I pride myself on making sure kids feel as understood and respected as possible and am open to matching parenting styles. I’m comfortable with many different childcare situations and am open to discuss opportunities. I have a vehicle, am up to date on vaccinations, and no pet allergies. Let me know if you have any other questions! **AVAILABILITY: For Spring 2026, I am regularly unavailable on M and W afternoons due to my classes

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
