I have prior babysitting experience and currently serve in the children’s ministry at my church caring for 2-3 year-olds. I’ve also worked with elementary aged kids and also have led high school student groups and summer camps, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of ages. I enjoy creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment through play, reading, and simple routines, and I’m happy to help with preparing meals and snacks. I'm also a mom myself, though my own little munchkins are grown and on their own now (and taller than me!). I am very gentle, organized, and fun and have an empathetic nature. And because I otherwise work freelance, my schedule is flexible. I would so love to help care for kids near me, and would happily lead them in projects, too, or come up with creative ideas on how we could pass the time (aka--not on screens). I have led classes in drawing and painting for both kids and adults for years as well, and would have fun teaching or leading instruction in art-making or crafts (I'm also a crafter--crochet, sewing, weaving, air-dry clay, etc.) I have a cat and have also had dogs, so I'm very comfortable with pet care.
