Dear Family, I saw your job post on Urbansitter and would love to be considered for your nanny position! I specialize in infant and toddler care, and your listing truly stood out to me. I have over 35 years of meaningful experience in childcare and early childhood education, giving me a deep understanding of early developmental milestones. I love creating a warm, nurturing environment where little ones can thrive. My experience covers all aspects of daily baby and toddler routines, including managing nap schedules, preparing healthy meals or bottles, handling diapering and potty training, and tracking daily updates for parents. More than just keeping children safe, I focus on helping them grow through active engagement. I love introducing sensory play, reading books, singing songs during transitions, and encouraging safe exploration and sharing. I hold certifications in CPR and First Aid, as well as extensive credentials in early childhood communication and care. I take great pride in being incredibly reliable, warm, and a supportive partner to parents. I would love the opportunity to connect and learn more about your little one's daily routine! Warmly, Geneva

Profile: Hi my name is Raquel, I’m fluent in both English and Spanish. My first language is Spanish and I find great pleasure introducing children language skills like Spanish, with their parents’ consent of course. I am also AA in Early Childhood Education. I’m an experienced nanny that has been working with families and their children for 24 years. I’m easy going, warm and loving, I care for children as they were my own. I have worked mostly with DC residents but also travel to Virginia from time to time. I hold a clean drivers record, CPR certificate and good references from people that I have worked over the years. I believe I am a good Nanny because, I focus on getting to know the child’s temperament and establish a loving and respectful bond that is naturally mutual between the children and me. I provide opportunities for children to grow and learn in a save environment setting. I help children develop their identity and self-confidence. Through-out the day we also visit many local playgrounds, libraries, play groups and community activities. Also, for indoor activities, I engage children with books, art, music, self-caring and biological development as feeding, sleeping and diaper change. I only expose children to TV if it’s part of the parents’ routine otherwise, TV is not a necessity during my time with them. In addition of caring and providing learning opportunities for children, as part of my responsibility, I keep the play area and the kitchen neat, clean the child’s laundry and keep their room clean. I would be happy to continue to converse about my work experience and my character if you requested.

Hi! As the oldest of three children and a previous after-school instructor, writing tutor, and nanny, I am a caregiver at heart. Raised in Mexico and later Las Vegas, NV, I am fluent in Spanish, currently a law student, love exercising, and hold a passion for cooking delicious (and traditional) Mexican cuisine. As a former tutor, I am passionate about the art of language and writing. I have experience tutoring Kindergarten through college level students and believe every child deserves individualized care and respect. My caregiving experience is vast, from serving as a formal nanny, to raising my own younger siblings with attentiveness, thoughtfulness, and care. I further believe every home deserves respect, and offer housekeeping services as well. I am committed to serving you and your family.

Hi! I’m Kennedy! I am current college student and a responsible and energetic caregiver with years of experience working with kids. I’ve worked at summer camps with children ages 6–13 and also served as a facilitator for another camp with kids 6–10. Through these roles, I’ve learned how to create fun, safe, and engaging environments where kids can learn, grow, and be themselves. I love planning creative activities, outdoor games, and arts and crafts while also being patient and reliable when it comes to routines, homework help, and everyday care. I always aim to make kids feel comfortable and supported while keeping things structured and fun. I have my own car, so I’m able to help with school pickups, activities, or errands. I’m also happy to help with light household tasks if needed. Families can count on me to be punctual, communicative, and dependable. I truly enjoy spending time with kids and watching them grow. I’d love the opportunity to bring my energy, experience, and positive attitude to a great family!

Hi, I’m Brianna! I’m a D.C. area native, preschool teacher, & lifelong lover of all things creative, fun, and family-oriented. My journey with children started back in high school when I began babysitting. What started as something I enjoyed quickly turned into a passion and eventually led me to start my own nannying business! Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for children from newborns all the way through their teenage years, giving me experience with a wide variety of ages, personalities, routines, and family needs. Today, I’m a preschool teacher, and I absolutely love what I do! I enjoy creating fun, engaging experiences for children while also helping them learn, grow, and feel comfortable being themselves.

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
