Hello! My name is Katlyn- I’m a kind and outgoing design major, currently attending Wayne State University. I’m going into my last year of school for my Bachelors in the fall! I love to spend my time planning fun and creative activities, going to the park and ( very recreationally ) playing sports like volleyball, throwing a football, or doing yoga. Video games have always been a super fun way for me to let loose and turn my brain off at the end of the day. As for my professional experience, I spent a few years with the YMCA doing before and afterschool care. I worked with Elementary School kids attending the UPA Charter Schools across Detroit. Children I worked with typically ranged from ages 5-12, and I’d supervise them in groups of 10-15, so I’m absolutely equipped for a fast-paced ( and high energy ) environment! Hi, I have been working with children for 12 years. I was a lead pre K teacher at a school based child care center for 6years, I assisted children ages 3years old up until 6years old. I transitioned from teaching to nannying for a family I met at my former job as pre k lead teacher. I have experience with picking up dropping off children to school and to extracurricular activities as well as homework help and I assisted family during summer vacation, taking children swimming, to the park.
