Nannies & babysits children. I was a 5, 6, and 8th grade science teacher and 3rd grade all subjects teacher. I’ve tutored all ages from pre-k to 12th grade. I graduated from the University of Virginia with honors in psychology and sociology. I also have a lil petsitting business as I love animals.

I'm from a small town in Southeastern Ohio, but I've lived in Raleigh, North Carolina for over 10 years now. At age ten I acquired my Red Cross Babysitting certificate and started babysitting younger kids. As a youth, I was on the swim team, studied multiple different disciplines of dance, was always in plays and helping with the local theater, tutoring at-risk youth, and I delivered newspapers 6 days a week in addition to occasional mowing, raking, and snow shoveling around town and also selling baked goods, saplings, and homemade crafts at the local f Farmers Market. I have been an American Red Cross certified lifeguard and also a swim instructor for the past 14+ years. I have saved hundreds of lives in my role as a lifeguard. In 2018 I was the Head Lifeguard of Sliding Rock in the Pisgah National Forest(Brevard, NC) and saved lives and was in charge of emergency situations, scheduling, and staffing from Memorial day to Labor day. A few years ago I was the aquatics manager at a country club. Years before all that I guarded a very deep 30 acre quarry (7 days a week with 7 other lifeguards) that hosted music festivals every weekend. I am very calm and cognizant in emergency situations and am the kind of nanny that tends to be cautious and preventative in regards to safety. I have spent many years gaining the trust of my students that are learning how to swim. I'm very good with the younger children and beginners; 2-4 year olds are my favorite to teach. I was a nanny for a family for all of 2021. I took care of three girls, ages 4, 7, and 11 years old, three days a week from 7am to 6pm. They also had 3 dogs, a cat, a bunny, a leopard gecko, and 16 chickens. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to continue to work for them after they moved over an hour away. I am still good friends with the family and go visit them at least once or twice a year, and occasionally still house and pet sit for them. I love children(so much so that I still don't have my own yet) and I love animals. I am very detail oriented and have a gift for maintaining many small details, as I've also worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years in addition to my 14+ years in aquatics with at least 9 of those years in aquatics management. Nannying is truly rewarding for me and provides me with skills I will use in my future. There will always be toys and TV in this world, I like to find a way to get kids excited about all the other things there are to life! Some of my most favorite things to do with kids (depending on ages of course) are cooking/baking, riding on transit and teaching them about transit safety, going to the park or for a walk, reading, coloring, dancing, listening to music, and any sort of playtime with water whether it be making bath time more fun or going to the beach.
