My experience working with children began 34 years old when my mom signed me and my sister up for a babysitting class at the Red Cross. I began caring for children of family friends and other families within the community. By college age, I found a love for volunteering for various community organizations that offered services for teens, homeless community, and my church. Caregiving comes natural for me because my parents and family members were always giving in some way or form to others. From a young age, I learned to be unselfish and see the needs of others. That translated into my adulthood and professional career. Last year I added senior care to services I can provide. I come from a musical family so I enjoy music and arts in my spare time. I also enjoy spending time and attending the games of my 10 year godson who is involved in several sports.

I have over 2 ½ years of experience as a babysitter and nanny. Currently, I work part-time caring for an infant and a teenager, and I’ve also supported children ranging from 6 months to 16 years old. I recently moved to Greensboro and am looking for more opportunities to work with families. I’m in nursing school and preparing to earn my CNA license, with a long-term goal of working in pediatrics. I am CPR certified, have a valid driver’s license, and can help with cooking, cleaning, and transportation. Families describe me as funny, loving, and reliable—I enjoy making children’s days brighter while giving parents peace of mind.

Hey! I’m Dream, and I really enjoy working with kids. I’ve been in early childhood education for three years, and I currently work full-time as a lead teacher at one of the biggest Head Start agencies in North Carolina, so I have lots of hands-on experience caring for and teaching children. I’m also a college student majoring in Early Childhood Education. I’m CPR/First Aid certified and I also have my North Carolina Early Childhood Credential, so I’ve got official training in the basics of caring for little ones. I especially love working with toddlers and preschoolers, helping them grow independence, confidence, and social skills through fun activities and routines. I’m patient and nurturing, but I also bring a playful energy that kids respond to. I make it a point to build trust with both kids and parents, and I focus on keeping every day safe, structured, and full of learning and fun. I am a retiring RN who just wants a part time job on the weekends. I love children, and seniors, and have had plenty of experience with both. I have raised three of my own children where we were Air Force military, and I grew up in a home where my family were veterans. I have done everything in nursing from ICU, ER, Trauma, Transport, Hospice, Long Term Care, Rehabilitation, Charge nurse, supervisor, and behavioral health. I am dependable, usually arrive a head of time, and stay over sometimes too. I love pets also. We had a Mancoon cat when my youngest son was little, then we rescued a German Shepherd female, Tara, from a puppy mill, and most recently I rescued a German Shepherd/Pyreneese mix from being put down when all he needed was a little training and a lot of love!
