Hi!! My name is Amy, and I’m a 25-year-old Rutgers University graduate with a strong background in childcare, pet care, and household support. I’ve always enjoyed caring for others and creating warm, structured environments where kids can thrive and feel safe — and where families can count on dependable, thoughtful help. From 2018 to 2021, I worked as a nanny for children between the ages of 4 and 7. During that time, I helped with school drop-offs and pick-ups, planned and led creative and stimulating activities (from arts and crafts to outdoor play), and regularly took the kids to the park or after-school activities. I always made sure our days were fun, organized, and filled with learning moments. In addition to childcare, I’ve been a trusted dog sitter for several families in Princeton, NJ, where I grew up. Whether it’s feeding, walking, playing, or simply keeping pets company while families are away, I love being around animals and understand how important it is to care for them with attention and love. I’m fluent in Spanish, which comes in handy in bilingual households or when introducing kids to a new language in fun ways. Currently, I work as a visual merchandiser at Lululemon in Princeton. I enjoy the creativity and problem-solving that comes with the job, but I’m now looking to work closer to home and connect with new families in Hoboken or nearby areas. I have over seven years of experience working with children in both childcare and educational settings. Working with kids has always been something I’m passionate about, and I love being able to support their growth while creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment. I began my childcare journey in 2019 as a Summer Camp Counselor with the YMCA while I was in high school, where I worked with children through 2024. In 2022, I started working in the YMCA’s aftercare program and remained there until January 2026. During my time with the YMCA, I gained valuable experience planning activities, supervising children, and helping them build confidence, friendships, and social skills. In 2024, I joined ESS as a paraprofessional, where I worked exclusively with children with learning and behavioral disabilities. This role strengthened my patience, adaptability, and ability to provide individualized support to help each child succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. I remained with ESS until July 2026. In February 2026, I began working at a private school, where I continue to expand my experience in education and childcare. Throughout my career, I have worked with children ranging in age from 3 to 10 years old. I pride myself on being dependable, patient, energetic, and compassionate. I understand that every child has unique needs and personalities, and I strive to create a positive, engaging, and supportive environment where they feel comfortable, valued, and encouraged to be themselves. Hi I'm Jodi, I've cared for Infants (4-month-old), toddlers (2-year-old), 7-8-year-old, 11-year-olds and 13-year-olds.
