Hi! My name is Desarie, and I am an experienced childcare professional with several years of experience caring for children from infancy through age 16. I have worked with children in private homes, schools, camps, and educational settings, including experience as a nanny/sitter, Teacher Assistant, and Camp Group Leader. I have experience caring for multiple children at once and supporting families with everything from daily routines, meal preparation and light cooking to children’s laundry, potty training, homework, playtime, outdoor activities, playdates, birthday events, and age-appropriate outings. I’m also comfortable with pets and have experience working early mornings, evenings, and overnight care. My background in education has given me experience supporting children academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. Working with children has been a meaningful part of my life for the past 7 years, and it's something I genuinely love and feel passionate about. I focus on building trust with both children and parents, and I always aim to create a calm, nurturing, and safe environment where kids feel comfortable and supported. I am CPR and First Aid trained. I previously worked at Primrose School, where I gained valuable experience in early childhood development and supporting children's social and emotional growth. Outside of work, I am currently in school studying sonography, which has strengthened my attention to detail, responsibility, and understanding of health and safety. Hi! I’m Ja’Lea, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that caring for children is something I genuinely love. I’ve been a preschool teacher assistant for the past three years, and every day reminds me why I chose this field. Watching children learn new skills, celebrate little accomplishments, and grow into their own personalities is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I truly can’t imagine doing anything else. In addition to working in a preschool, I also work as a behavioral therapist for children with autism. This role has given me valuable experience supporting children with a wide range of needs while strengthening my patience, communication, and ability to adapt to each child’s unique personality and learning style. Working with these incredible children has been one of the most meaningful parts of my career, and they truly hold a special place in my heart. I’m very hands-on and love getting involved in whatever excites them—whether that’s dancing to Danny Go!, coloring, reading stories, building with blocks, playing imaginative games, or exploring fun, age-appropriate activities. I don’t believe in simply “watching” children; I enjoy interacting with them, helping them learn, and making sure they have a great time while they’re in my care. Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for children with a variety of needs and daily routines. I’m comfortable with diaper changes, bathing or shower assistance, helping with brushing teeth, meal and snack times, and keeping children engaged throughout the day. My experience has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, clear communication, and creating a structured environment where children feel comfortable and confident. Parents can count on me to be dependable, attentive, and someone who treats every child with the same kindness, respect, and care that I would want for my own family.
