SUMMER BREAK AVAILABILITY! Hi parents! I know how important it is to find a caregiver you can trust. I’ve been working as a nanny in NYC for the 2 year,s and babysitting since I was 12, caring for kids of all ages, from infants to pre-teens. I am currently working with a family of 4 boys, ages 6 years to 6 months. I am looking for other temporary jobs while they are out of town for the next couple of weeks. My responsibilities include taking and picking up kids from school, taking them to their various activities and extra curricular activities, cooking and meal time, and getting ready for bed, along with general care taking, playing, and supervision. I enjoy meeting kids where they are at, engaging in their interests and joys, and creating a space where they can feel safe and cared for. I am currently a graduate student studying social work at Fordham University where I’m learning how to support children in meaningful and developmentally appropriate ways. As apart of my program, I work 3x a week in an elementary school doing one-on-one counseling with children ages 6-10 with behavioral and developmental issues. I’m upbeat, patient, and love creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where kids can thrive. I’d love the opportunity to support your family! Hi - My name is Sara, and I’m currently a second-year master’s candidate in the Department of Environmental Health Science as part of Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. I enjoy babysitting and have grown up helping family and friends by caring for infants, toddlers, and kids since I was 16. (I also enjoy technology-free conversation zones and board games). I am a big fan of pets! I’ve had turtles, birds, and cats. I have five cats back home, one of which is the queen, who gave birth to three healthy kittens in my bed, refusing to do so anywhere else in the house. Of course, I was there for her every step of the way, soothing and feeding her calming treats. I am very familiar with their care and needs. While I’ve never had a dog, I’ve walked my friends’ and thoroughly enjoy their company. If needed, I am open to day/weekend-long babysitting, pet care, and housesitting.
