Hello parents, my name is Rachel (you can call Rae), I am 27 years young. I grew up on Kent Island, Maryland and moved to Lake Tahoe four years ago to pursue my career in Baking & Pastry at The Ritz-Carlton after I graduated from Johnson & Wales University, in Providence Rhode Island. I love to hike, snowboard, swim, and bake. I live with my lovely Fiancée (spencer) and our kittens/children (Korra/sokka) in South Reno. My first job was in childcare starting at 16 years old and continued to work with families on and off since. I was also a lifeguard for 4 years during my summers home from college. So, I had to participate in lifeguard certifications every summer and that includes first aid & CPR certifications as well. I am now first aid & CPR certified and carry the lifesaving techniques with me from years past. I am great with children of all ages, including infants. I also have experience caring for siblings with age gaps, I know how to juggle their needs so that each child receives the care and attention they need. During down time I can assist with household chores such as laundry, dishes, cleaning, and organizing. I also have 2 years experience in being a personal assistant. Since trained professionally in the kitchen I can prepare healthy meals and tasty desserts for the family. I have been told that I am caring, trustworthy, and reliable. I am a professional and creative woman who loves caregiving. I help out with my church children’s ministry and I paint commissions. I am available day times and some nights. I enjoy exercise, painting, crafts and cooking/baking in my free time. Adult & pediatric CPR/AED certified - valid until 2025 Adult & Pediatric Basic Life Saving (BLS) certified a valid until 2026 I have experience as a dog mom, pet & house sitter, auntie, part time & full time nanny, drop in babysitter, and a kids ski and snowboard coach at Alpine Meadows. I currently work with a family a 2 days a week but am flexible, I am also available weekends & occasional events. I have a Masters degree and started a small local business. I do not have kids of my own, but I love teaching children & helping other local families. I also enjoy cooking healthy kids meals + encourage outside time.
