Hello my name is Christine but most people call me Chrissy. Prior to babysitting I was a pre-k 3 teacher and I currently work with two on a weekly /as needed basis . I’m looking to assist families in a less institutionalized setting when the time permits.I love teaching and working with children has always been second natural for me . I have experience with infants-12 year olds and children on the spectrum. I also have experience with assisting children to cope with anxiety and/or behavioral patterns. I am CPR / first aid certified and I am also certified to use and administer epinephrine auto injectors. Aside from babysitting I enjoy DIY projects, traveling and learning new things. I’m bilingual, (English/Spanish) and I’m currently learning ASL. I’m a true believer that it takes a village to raise a child and as someone who doesn’t have children I’ve always done my best to help when I can!

I started babysitting almost 15 years ago and have since worked as a nanny/babysitter and in education, from working in classrooms and private tutoring to developing an SEL curriculum for elementary school-aged girls. Depending on age, some of my favorite ways to spend time with kids are getting outside, reading together, doing art projects, baking, and finding activities that match their interests. With babies and young toddlers, I especially enjoy paying attention to what they’re learning at each stage and finding fun, age-appropriate ways to support their development, encourage their growing independence and communication skills, and keep them interested and learning as they grow. I’m ideally looking for full-time or near-full-time work with a baby or toddler who isn’t in school yet, but I’m also open to part-time care, nanny shares, and one-time babysitting when my schedule allows.
