Hello - my name is Jas! Currently I’m looking for some part time work, and I have availability for 1-2 evenings a week or weekend. I got into babysitting at a young age for kids in my neighborhood. As I got older I expanded into other parts of childcare as well! Some of my experience includes volunteering at my local children’s center as an after school aide, working and hosting birthday parties at my previous job, being a camp counselor every summer for years, and being a nanny for the past 4 years. I've been working with kids for almost 7 years now, and before the pandemic I was a part time crafts teacher at an after school program. I was in charge of a class of 10-15 kids for a few hours every week doing small projects together. All in all I adore my time with kids and I’m not afraid to get down on the ground and play with or engage your child when it comes down to it. I am very motivated to help children be happy, healthy, and well behaved. I am very interested in helping you with your child and I am really flexible with scheduling. I have previous caregiving experience in dropping off/picking up children, helping them with homework, doing crafts, preparing simple meals, doing indoor/outdoor activities, reading, bedtime routines, etc. If you have a pet I don’t mind! There are many tactics to know that can make a child feel more comfortable, loved, and to help them recover quicker. Helping children to understand their emotions, manage their feelings, and learn the difference between right and wrong behavior is challenging, but it is also a rewarding experience.
