Amanda $26 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Amanda, I’m 27 and live in NYC. I’ve been babysitting since high school and have experience with kids of all ages, including a 3-month-old. I’ve watched up to four kids at once and have nannied for two boys and two elementary school girls. My experience includes school pickup, helping with daily routines and activities, and spending time with the kids throughout the day. I’m always up for anything from playing sports to doing arts and crafts, playing board games, or joining in on whatever they’re interested in. I’m also happy to help with homework, cooking, running errands, or anything else needed around the house. Outside of childcare, I enjoy running, tennis, soccer, reading, watching movies, cooking, and baking.

Dzhanyl 1 review
$25 per hour for 1 child

I have 13 years of experience as a caregiver for children and elders. I can be available in the evenings to help with meals, bath, bedtime and/or overnight care for babies. I am also open to evening and overnight elder care.

“Dzhanyl has been a wonderful nanny for our family for four years. She is extremely reliable, flexible, caring, and has 13 years of experience working as a nanny. I am looking for work in a different capacity: she would like to help families who need evening, overnight, and/or weekend care. She can be available in the evenings to help with meals, bath, bedtime and/or overnight care for babies. She is also open to evening and overnight elder care, though we haven't employed her in that capacity. Dzhanyl began working with our family when our daughter was one year old in a part time capacity, and as our family has expanded to three kids (now 5, 3, and 1), so have her hours and responsibilities. In her current capacity, she primarily cares for our 1-year-old and 3-year-old, and occasionally for our 5-year-old. She is always eager to bring the kids outdoors to the park and playground, even if it’s rainy, snowy, or cold. She always shows up early for work, and has been very flexible to shift her schedule by the week to accommodate our calendars. She also helps with naptime, mealtime, pick ups and drop offs, and light housework. Additionally, she primarily speaks Russian to our children, but is comfortable speaking English if that’s preferred. Please feel free to reach out with any questions - happy to provide more on our experience.”

Holly $25 per hour for 1 child

SUMMER BREAK AVAILABILITY! Hi parents! I know how important it is to find a caregiver you can trust. I’ve been working as a nanny in NYC for the 2 year,s and babysitting since I was 12, caring for kids of all ages, from infants to pre-teens. I am currently working with a family of 4 boys, ages 6 years to 6 months. I am looking for other temporary jobs while they are out of town for the next couple of weeks. My responsibilities include taking and picking up kids from school, taking them to their various activities and extra curricular activities, cooking and meal time, and getting ready for bed, along with general care taking, playing, and supervision. I enjoy meeting kids where they are at, engaging in their interests and joys, and creating a space where they can feel safe and cared for. I am currently a graduate student studying social work at Fordham University where I’m learning how to support children in meaningful and developmentally appropriate ways. As apart of my program, I work 3x a week in an elementary school doing one-on-one counseling with children ages 6-10 with behavioral and developmental issues. I’m upbeat, patient, and love creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where kids can thrive. I’d love the opportunity to support your family! I’m also very comfortable with household pets and happy to help feed and care for them while babysitting. Whether it’s giving them extra attention, taking them outside, or making sure they’re well-fed, I’ll ensure your pets feel just as comfortable and cared for as the rest of the family!

"When we hired Amani, we felt like we hit the jackpot. We were very lucky to find her on UrbanSitter at the beginning of school year. She was picking up kids from school, taking them to afternoon activities, helping them with assignments. She prepped food for them, helped organize their closets and keep their spaces neat and orderly. We would hire her again in a heartbeat."
