Hi! My name is Kaidy- I graduated with a B.S. from West Virginia University in 2013, then continued to take classes towards a Master’s degree in Education shortly after. I have worked both as a preschool teacher and a full-time nanny since then. I am offering childcare, such as nanny and babysitting, and pet services. I’ve always loved taking care of kids; I started babysitting at 11 years old and continued that career path through my adulthood. I’ve worked with children off all ages ranging from infants and toddlers (including twins!), all the way through high school age. I have the education and training to care for all different types of children through my work as a Paraprofessional; this includes children with developmental, behavioral, and/or learning disabilities as well as children with autism. I have successfully preformed the Heimlich Maneuver on separate occasions for a baby and a toddler, as well as identified the signs of a child experiencing an asthma attack and immediately used their rescue inhaler. I have also administered regular medication to children (and pets!) and I feel totally comfortable doing so. I don’t have any children of my own, but I grew up the oldest of 30 first cousins and I have absolutely loved being able to care for them, as well as children of any age and background; to see them grow, and help them flourish, is an honor that I don’t take lightly. I am a UCLA graduate with a degree in sociology and lots of experience in early childhood learning. CURRENTLY: I am on a cross country road trip so I am only available for occasional or one time babysitting. Great for emergency or last minute needs. I am the oldest child and the oldest of most of my cousins so I have grown up watching kids. I have been housesitting for over a year now for many pet owners that go on vacation for any amount of time from 3 days to a week. I have been helping out seniors in my family for a while as well since 3/4 of my great grandmothers are still alive and are in need of assistance when it comes to daily tasks. Hello - my name is Jas! Currently I’m looking for some part time work, and I have availability for 1-2 evenings a week or weekend. I got into babysitting at a young age for kids in my neighborhood. As I got older I expanded into other parts of childcare as well! Some of my experience includes volunteering at my local children’s center as an after school aide, working and hosting birthday parties at my previous job, being a camp counselor every summer for years, and being a nanny for the past 4 years. I've been working with kids for almost 7 years now, and before the pandemic I was a part time crafts teacher at an after school program.
