Hello to all! I am a rising Junior at Columbia University studying philosophy looking to babysit. I have worked babysitting jobs before back home in DC for parents of my school. Throughout those experiences, I've always appreciated the connection I was able to form with the kids as I watched them progress and grow. I have also worked as a soccer coach for refugee children through a program offered at my high school. Through this experience I was able to better understand how to lead groups of kids for physical activity while also making sure they are just having fun. I have been working since I was 14, graduated high school early at 17, and went directly into trade school, where I am currently working toward becoming a licensed esthetician and skin therapist. Most recently, I worked as a Teen Reading Ambassador with the New York Public Library, helping children with reading, writing, math homework, games, arts and crafts, and other activities. I have also worked with children with ADHD, dyslexia, autism, and different learning styles. One of my strongest qualities is my patience. I do not become easily frustrated, and I understand that children sometimes need extra time, a different explanation, or simply someone who will listen to them.
